I've indeed run the search here on this forum. Came up with some results. Seems the question has been asked before. But there were never any definite, absolutely clear responses on one thing.
Question:
Have fully built FAL's or the FAL receivers (receivers only that is) made by DSA been...
As I understand it, this term refers to a double tap of the center mass followed by a single round to the head. Correct?
Where does the term Mozambique come from though?
Plus, how do you pronounce it? :D
Is it; Mow(lawn mower)-zam-beak? Oh-yeah am I spelling it correctly?
He he...
Thanks a lot raygun I appreciate it.
Few more things:
Metric and inch . . . Which configuration is metric which is inch? Are there any positives/negatives to one or the other?
Any advantages/disadvantages between the G1, L1A1, etc? Or is it personal preference as to what configuration...
Boober noober FAL questions:
DSA builds the STG58?
What parts are in the STG58? Are they all Steyr?
What does STG stand for? What about the SA in SA58?
What are the different configurations? Like; a G1? What’s that mean? And what is meant by an L1A1, etc?
Are U.S. parts or Steyr...
Hm, that seems an interesting idea. Is it possible (if anyone knows) were the gun to be transferred to my FFL, that they (FFL) could hold it for long enough that I could THEN go in 5 months from now and pick it up or not? I'm thinking probably not.
Thanks
Ohhhh okay. So you're saying if it's merely TRANSFERRED like in a drawing/contest then you only must be 18? Because of the HSC?
Okay more questions:
So in CA to go into the FFL and pick up a handgun that was won in a drawing/entry must the parent/guardian be present and/or submit written...
Noob with a quandary
I'm not sure if all the questions below differ much from state to state but if so then what are they in regard to CA MO and NV:
1. Under 21 and in possession of a handgun. Whether it was obtained through gifting or whatever.
If not 21 or over does it matter whether one...
Phew! *Wiping-my-backside-of-the-gross-inordinate-and-inane-presperation/condensation-accumulate-originating-from-brow then-seeping-into-pants-all-too-commonly-experienced-world-wide*
Ayi Yi! I was a little scurd there a minute. Okay.
Alright, no, my situation in the firearm acquisition...
hah yeah I wonder about that (with any punishing guns that is) :D
He he he . . .
Yes, that makes a lot of sense.
. . . . . Yeah. But for my case I just want to try to see how much I can shoot/tolerate in a single string of firing xxx weapon xxx weapon etc. Plus I wants to try...
Uh-oh wait a minute. ALL the guns I have AREN'T registered in my name. Like a .25 pocket gun, a .22 rifle and two shotguns in fact. The .25 came from my g-ma. The .22 was originally my father's which ended up with my g-pa which then was given to me. The two 12 gauges were both from my mother. So...
So, does anyone feel that in the near future ANY AND ALL such stores (purely chain type stores NOT firearm dealer/firearm only type stores) will
no-longer-carry-firearms-period?
Oops yeah forgot to mention that I essentially meant any store other than a pure firearms dealer/shop/store. And instead, more in the way of general sporting goods stores/chain stores yeah. But I think everyone assumed correctly anyway. Sorry my bad.
And wow I'm impressed at the amount of...
No, I'm going to be spending some time in MO, staying with a family member. The reason I say 'might be staying longer than a few weeks' is cuz I'm pondering permanently moving in over there. I just wasn't too keen on what MO's laws are and basically wondered how long it would take before I could...
Woot!
Wow the information continues to pour at THR!! :)
Okay I now believe I have a better understanding than when I initially asked this question. Thanks a lot people!
So what retail stores are you aware of in your area (or otherwise) that are still selling firearms?
Those I know of (which are blatantly obvious)
Wal-Mart
K Mart
Sports Authority
Big 5
How many stores around you are still selling handguns not just long guns or not selling altogether...
:what: WOW
:D
Thanks proud2deviate
So does anyone else know about MO laws on residency--IS the only thing required to buy long guns in MO a MO driver's license?
And the thing about purchasing in a neighboring state. Would that type of purchase/transaction be no different than buying...
Ohhhh so I had it backwards then.
And while still on this topic . . . So basically, if you want your barrel AND gun altogether to last longer you should generally shoot loads with lighter bullet weights? As this generates less pressure? And it's not the faster velocity that wears down a gun...
