    My Latest Acquisition: Astra A-70

Sure does seem like a sirect competitor for the Firestar. Neato!

Well used import 92F for $325?

Oh, I dunno, I have multiple really nice M92s, but I don't hand them to my ham-fisted buddies at the range or use them as glove-box guns on a road trip. I save that honor for my "beater" NRC-contract 92D and it probably gets shot and carried way more than the pretty ones ever will, lol.

    Browning SA-22 with barrel bulge?

Sure, if you had a squib round and fired another live one into it.

A 22 rifle that just plain fits

That's a handsome bunch of rimfires! I especially like Marlin, don't see those falling from trees for sure. I have a number of fancy/schmancy .22s, but most are really too heavy for much offhand shooting. If Im going afield with a .22, I usually grab my Romi- Its just a great no-frills, no...

    New Blue Python BROKE! ugghh

I doubt the latch is actually too long, per se, but rather its being allowed to travel too far forward by whatever retains it- the sideplate IIRC. Well, regardless, that sucks. Hopefully they make it right for you Mark.

What's your preferred every day carry?

Monday through Friday in my serf-smock- Weekends in freeman's garb-

    NOS Unicorn Colt.

Neato! That's one of those "stealth" collectibles that only an expert (and you) will appreciate, and even then only if they look closely. Very, very cool. 👍

Good luck HH, see you soon!

Bad News for Deer Hunters: CWD in 2 Men

Since its a prion desease, even through-cooking isn't garaunteed effective. I think super-strong acids, bases, and UV light are about the only things really effective on them. Prions are truly terrifying.

Well used import 92F for $325?

Unless the shop will let you take them down to inspect the locking blocks, best to figure in the cost of a new one- about $40 at the moment. Even so, Id grab one at that price. Pick the one with the least rattle when shaken, lol. Not that they are too $$, but I'd also inspect the magazine and...

    S&W 14-4 (trash or treasure $980)

I've made that proclamation plenty of times. Only seems to last until the next shiny object comes along, lol.

Can never have too much cowbell or finger grooves...😁

Finger grooves are the new cowbell. 😁

Hypothetically what would be your choice: Uzi in 9mm w/ 16 Mags or Winchester Lever Action in 45/70 w/ 100 rounds of ammo?

My 16" Norinco UZI was unreliable with anything but Nato-spec 124gr FMJ, was heavy, unbalanced, and had one of the worst triggers I've ever had the misfortune of pulling- like, painfully bad. Speaking of pain, the charging knob is a sadistic torture device. Maybe the IWI originals are better...

    S&W 14-4 (trash or treasure $980)

I'd feel a lot better about it at $750-800ish. Target Hammer and Trigger are a plus, but those are not the original Target grips, a Dash-4 wouldn't have diamonds. On the other hand.....diamond K-Frame Target grips are worth $50-100 more than non-diamonds. So, theres that. Considering the...

Mini 30 Magazines - Which ones?

Ive used FedOrd, Promag, and OEM Ruger. Threw away the Promags and all but one of the FedOrds- only because its chrome-plated and looks cool. For actual shooting, it's Ruger or nothing.

66-2, 686 (no dash) or 686 SSR Pro

66 if concealed carry is a consideration at all, otherwise 686-0.

    Another ID these rounds

I thought that looked familiar. The green case laquer is notorious for becoming sticky goo when hot, as well as being loaded on the hot side. A little better than the turk poo, but not by much. I'd keep it for "wartime emergency" use, but thats about it.
