Always remember your hearing protection folks!

"... not very High Road, Hyunchback. The individual agents are not bad people." It was one of those "not bad people" who left her gun in an airport bathroom recently. It was several of those "not bad people" who were mugging for the video cameras as they set out to raid the Branch Davidians...

Always remember your hearing protection folks!

Let's help the ATF Let's help the ATF. ATF agents, remember to use your pistol, subgun, shotgutn, revolver or assault rifle as hearing protection. It is ONLY effective protection if you put your finger on the trigger and keep squeezing until you stop hearing the loud noises. You should hear...

Anyone use Corrosion X gun lube?

I use it on my pistols as a CLP product. I don't know about rust as I don't let any rust form. It does a good job of loosening caked on powder fouling. Wet a patch with it, pull it through and then keep feeding clean, dry patches through until they come out clean. On other surfaces a little...

    Obama concerned about his security

Like all the liberal hypocrites he'll want all the protection he can get while telling us that we don't need it. We don't get a Secret Service detail or the use of body armor and bullet-proof vehicles. We don't get armed bodyguards.

Chicago shooting, 4 wounded, gunman dead

Yes, we need a law for our law-makers. "If you pass a restriction on our right or liberties you back it up with your entire earthly wealth. You ban guns to 'keep us safe' and we are not safe then you are dead, flat broke, forever. No hiding money under wife/kids/parents names. All of it gone...

    OMG--Tony Blair makes sense!

Tough talk. Can he also walk tough? We'll either see a large, slow-moving flotilla of leaky cargo vessels limping for warmer climates or we'll see Londinistan. Special aside to Queen Elizabeth and her family: Don't bother asking for asylum. You ruined your own country, Scottland, Ireland...

In CO Springs I don't know anything about this place. I just saw their website this morning. https://www.whistlingpinesgunclub.com/index.asp

    Favorite Gun Magazine?

I like Combat Handguns. It brings together several elements of handguns for defense as well as covering knives, lights, tactics and legal considerations. I like Guns and American Handgunner more for their photo layouts. Time was I would look upon centerfolds of a softer nature, but now I...

    Denver/Boulder training for CCW

ColtMember asked: There are several ranges, some of the best are for members of clubs. Cherry Creek Gun Club (not to be confused with the Family Shooting Center at Cherry Creek State Park) is one I belong to. The URL for their website is...

    Denver/Boulder training for CCW

Certainly no dearth of places to get training. Larry Johnson has a store front on Parker Road in Denver for On Target. Much, much more than is required for a CCW but closer to what you need to know to not just carry but also to use what you carry. Larry Johnson is a former SWAT trainer...

NRA effectiveness questioned on Huffington Post.

Bartholomew Roberts wrote: That's exactly what they were trying to do. Frankly, it's not the NRA or even gun owners who need to tell them to shut their yaps. It's the newly elected Democrats. In the majority of the seats that changed the candidates were usually avoiding answering...

NRA effectiveness questioned on Huffington Post.

Colorado's Governor's Race The Colorado Governor's race boiled down to mudslinging and tactics. The former Denver DA who won the race should have been smeared but the Republican party took turns with their candidate in shooting his own feet. They found solid material to use against the...

Nov 7, 2006: Did you vote?

StandingWolf posted: I hope that wasn't O'Donnell. I voted for Tom Tancredo though his challenger had something less than a snow ball's chance. Put in my vote against Ritter, too. How did you go on 40 (The term limits for Appellate Judges)?

Is gun control a big issue in this years elections?

Kim posted: I don't know how many took money from Soros but there ARE Democrats who earn (and I mean EARN) their A from the NRA. This isn't "pro-gun when running, anti-gun when elected". There are also plenty of Republicans who earn their Ds and Fs. Remember that Bloomberg is a...

    NRA Ratings for your state.

This election This election I have given money to NRA, CSSA and RMGO backed candidates. I never gave money directly to a politician before in my life, but I did this election. I have given money to candidates for whom I'm not even a consituent so they had more ammo in the war chest...

New source of antigun lies: 2nd Amendment Research Center

I found this line, below the bolded text, particularly telling. It is particularly telling a lie. "Provide for the common defense" is not to provide for the defense of the individual. That phrase, from the preamble to the Constitution, is how the framers viewed governmental authority. I...

    Phelps sinks to new lows

Funny, I don't recall any passage in the Bible prohibiting mocking Fred Phelps. If God really didn't want Fred Phelps mocked then I'm reasonably sure he'd have put instructions to that effect in writing. Is my burning bush on mute again?

    Smith and Wesson M&P

At the club I belong to there is one member with an M&P 40. He seems to have problems with it but I don't know if he's fired a 40 before. I had problems with my steel frame 40s before I corrected my grip and got over my flinch from it.
