How much does fitting a suppressor reduce felt recoil?

Always check with your state game authorities about the legalities of hunting w/ a can.

    .308 rifle suppressor help

Give the titanium cans a serious look if you are doing any shooting that isn't from the bench/prone. Yes, they are more expensive, but they about 1/2 the weight. The longer your bbl, the more that weight will factor in.

    Prvi Partizan Ammo

I've used their match ammo in .223 and .308, and found that it shoots well. It also reloads well. Their military ammo is not as accurate, but that's to be expected. It still reloads well.

    Precision Rifle Advice

Buy a Rem700 w/ a 20 inch bbl. 20in is enough bbl for a .308, and not too long. The only way the length will matter is velocity, not precision. I say Remington because I'm partial to them, and because they accurate out of the box. There's also a world of aftermarket goodies for them, as well...

    Mounts for Remington 700

Other brands to consider are Nightforce and Leupold Mark 4 series.

    Anyone use a 308/7.62 suppressor on both 7.62 (308) and 5.56?

If you're going the one can route, look into a titanium can. It's pricier than a stainless steel, but it's a one time investment. The major difference between the .308 and .223 will be weight. The longer your bbl, the greater that weight will become a factor, in carry comfort...

    something quiet for my farm...

It's not a gun, but a crossbow may do the trick. They're definately powerful enough and quiet. I'm not sure of the range tho.

    Cleaning rod recommendations?

deweys are decent rods, and shouldn't be showing that kind of damage. These guys carry top quality products. http://www.sinclairintl.com/prod_detail_list/Cleaning-Rods-Accessories Make sure that you are using the right bore guides, and the right patch sizes. My impression is that you are...

Hogs in the Sam Houston National Forest

Use the topo map to look for "bottom land" Also search for any pipe or power lines running through the area. These will give good shooting lanes. Where the lines intersect the creeks/bottom area may be your best shot opportunities. The national forest is a mix of hardwood and pine. Scout...

Need recommendation for high quality / good value 9mm suppressor

http://www.gem-tech.com/MULTIMOUNT.html This one is a good start. I haven't used that particular can, but I have Gemtech cans, and I'm happy with their customer service and products. Be careful about using ammo not made for the can in question. Using .22 in a 9mm can shouldn't be a...

    Precision rifle choice

A custom would be .260 remington, off the shelf would be .308 if .260 not available. I reload and have plenty of .308 brass. Thanks for the suggestions!

    I'm moving to East TX!!!

Welcome to Texas! It's been awhile but I grew up in East Texas. If you want to hunt for free on someone's land, get into hog hunting. They are a non-naitive species, and there virtually no regulations, season, etc. Landowners just want them gone. Just get permission. We take private...

    Precision rifle choice

I'm saving up for a high end rifle. Cost is measured in months of patience and waiting, not simple dollars. I have multiple rifles, multiple calibers, semi and bolt, including a cheaper precision(rem700PSS) rifle or two. I could take an existing action and build it into something else, but...

    Should I buy another p22?

I own a P22 and a Sig Mosquito. I finally decided to spring for a real, solid .22 and bought a Ruger MkIII target model. The Ruger is by far my favorite .22, and I'm not a Ruger fan. Buy a solid .22 and you won't miss the P22

Range Trip - How Many Guns?

It depends on how much time I want to commit. Range is free(annual fee) and I figure on 2 guns per hour for handguns, one per hour for rifles. All day and with friends...break out the arsenal.
