    Dillon XL 650

I bought a XL650 in 1994, when they were a newer design. I couldn’t be happier with it or with Dillon‘s customer service. I have loaded countless thousands of rounds on it. I have tool heads for 9mm, 357, 40, 45, 44, 223, and a couple of spares. Some parts have needed replaced, but no one could...

What Are Your Thoughts on SA Revolvers?

I like SA revolvers for plinking and target shooting and they are essential for cowboy action shooting. However, due to the slow speed of reloading a SA revolver, I could envision several circumstances where they would be detrimental in a self defense role.

New Dillon 650 on the way.....

Got my XL 650 in 1994. I got the case feed, 6 powder measures, and the conversions for my most loaded calibers. Great machine I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s still cranks out the ammo. I just don’t shoot enough anymore to keep it busy. A couple of years ago I loaded 5K 9mm and still have...

    Are 9mm worth reloading

With my own cast bullets I load 9mm for about $4.00 a box. That makes it less expensive than most 22lr. Most hobbies cost money and have no chance of saving you one red cent. Reloading can actually pay for itself.

Instead of dawn try Armor All Wash-N-Wax. Make sure your pins are clean by running them with water and Lemi Shine, but no brass for an hour and rinsing them thoroughly.

    handload vs factory

Pete, This is just a thought, check for a small burr on the rim of your brass. That can make your reloads fit a little tight also. Some guns frequently leave a burr, some never do. Some guns are sensitive to that a burr and some are not.

    Loading .357

If you like thunder and lighting, try Hornady 125g XTP over a max or near max load of 2400 using standard small pistol primers. It will wake the dead and light the heavens. Be sure to cautiously work up the load.

    What has more recoil?

It doesn’t make any difference what any formula or individual says, it’s all a matter of perception. The only way to find out what feels best to you in your gun is to load up some ammo and shoot it.

Ruger super Blackhawk: Why are the 7-10" barrel models less expensive

Cowboy action shooting is very popular today and it makes the shorter barrel more popular. I have never seen a western movie where the cowboy carried a 10 inch barrel.
