I have one in burnt bronze. I've been happy with it, and have generally hit what I'm aiming with it. It seems of good quality to me.
It's a $200 single action. Don't expect it to be a nicer gun or a anything but a single action.
IMO, the competition for this gun is not the Single Six, but...
Springfield Lightweight Champion in an IWB when I'm dressed casually. On workdays when I have to tuck in my shirt a S&W Bodyguard in a Desantis pocket holster. Still have a Shield that I occasionally carry IWB.
I end up keeping my Bodyguard in a small Gunvault under the driver'a seat. I can't carry at work because of "workplace safety" (as if there's something safe about being disarmed if somebody comes in with harm on the mind). So I have the Bodyguard in a pocket holster that I can easily slip in if...
Thanks for all the replies! That Galco looks like it might be just what I'm looking for.
Before I started CCing I mainly wore preppy nylon embroidered belts. Doesn't work when packing IWB, especially if you have my combination of absurdly high hip bones and a flat rear end. I've got a...
I too think that a cheap (say $150-250) American-made defense/ service revolver would sell well. Think a self-defense oriented Heritage Rough Rider or a modern version of the Iver Johnsons that people bought for years. This market was serviced by police surplus K-frames for years but those are...
My story is a little longer and more complicated than some others here.
I've always been pro-gun and pro-RKBA. Hell, I was posting on this forum when I was 12 or 13 (don't read my older posts, they're the mindless ramblings of a 12 year old who just thought "guns are cool!). I did do a decent...
Another vote for the Sig SP2022. Sig ergonomics and great DA/SA mechanism. Not too heavy. Mine has been incredibly reliable (and it fell off a vehicle moving 45mph...if that little voice in your head says "I put it back in the trunk", you didn't put it back in the trunk). Could be carried fairly...
A few weeks ago I bought a Springfield Champion (commander length slide, full size grip). I intend to carry this when I'm packing IWB. I bought a cheap Blackhawk nylon IWB holster. It's flimsy and I feel like the clip could break whenever...but damn if it's not comfortable! I like the slimness...
Nightstand has a Sig 2022 in 9mm plus an extra magazine, an LED mini maglite, a cheap S&W boot knife, whatever my EDC knife for the day was, and a 20" section of 1.5" red oak dowel underneath.
Security cabinet about four feet from bed has a lot more, including my Hi-Point carbine, MP-15...
I took the chance on one. Haven't had the chance to shoot it yet, but mechanically it seems to be in excellent shape. Cosmetically...well, it won't win any beauty contests, but that's not why I bought it.
When I do get the chance to put some lead downrange I'll let y'all know how it does. For...
I do apologize if this a stupid question. I don't know much about shotgun construction.
Back in December I bought an 870 Wingmaster. I got a pretty good deal on it ($150). It's got a 30" or 28" (think it's the former), fixed choke barrel and is a pretty great field gun, but I wouldn't mind...
I've wanted a Model 10 for a while. I just bought a Century import marked 10-8 on Gunbroker for the princely sum of $220 (plus shipping and FFL). Sight unseen, I'm not expecting much on cosmetics...as long as it shoots fine, I'll be happy.
A few month ago I bought some new gear to keep in the truck and had a bunch of old gear with no place to put it. I read this article and was inspired: http://www.artofmanliness.com/2014/05/21/tactical-order-of-dressing-an-illustrated-guide/
I strung it from an old belt on an old pair of jeans...
I do have to wonder what monumental idiot made this an Honor Code violation. I helped found the Honor Council at my school, and I studied many honor codes in the process, and they were all about HONOR-- not lying, cheating, stealing, or plagiarizing. Not one mentioned issues of "violence" or...
