Started prepping for paint today. Used an auto body prep kit and some steel wool to blend all the welds and scratches. I couldn't for the life of me get the mag well tool marks and gouges to blend all the way so they are still showing a little bit but in not too worried about that right now. I...
Since my jig was off I welded up the holes and scribed them by hand with calipers from CNC plans. Everything moves smoothly and function checks cleared. Just need to throw some paint on it.
Figured out the problem I was having with the hammer not falling. The freaking pin holes are too close together. Measured the jig and it's at .84 all my factory receivers are .90. I'm so pissed off and the company that made the jig Daytona tactical stated that all sales are final and they don't...
I tried a few different guns out including the sig 238/220/2022, brownjng hi powe and a few XD models. Only sig I didn't care for was the 238. The throw on it was so short that it hammered between my thumb. The hi power was nice, accurate but on the heavy since its all steel. I was easily...
I used to be a Glock guy since that was what my dept issued us. Never put much thought into it until I went outside my comfort zone and tried a few others. The way the 226 felt in my hands was like it was meant to be. Perfect size, weight and balance. The travel for reset is a little long but...
Had a day off so I decided to hit the gun range with my new SIG P-226. 50 rounds at 15 yards. Had a couple get away from me but I wouldn't worry about them little guys. [emoji6] it's a Smooth little booger

One issue I've noticed a lot among civilians and military alike, is that when they say "well lubed" they over kill the lube. Not that this is the issue with you're weapon but when the carbon or dust mixes with the excessive lube especially with clp, it creates somewhat of a lapping compound and...
I never said markings were required unless registering a weapon. Then they have to be marked but in order to register you have to be a licensee. The email I sent them was in regards to whether or not you could sell an 80% lower once it has been completed. And if you could sell one, did it have...
After the debate Over selling/registering/marking receivers, I shot an email to the ATF. Here is there response.
Thank you for your recent inquiry to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). This is in response to your email in which you inquired about making a firearm...
