Help me understand... a 10lb rifle 'worth' it's weight in gold?

    I’ve actually been there. https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/purdey.805503/

    Neck turning

I’m also a member of the no neck turn gang. Sometimes we think doing something reduces variation when in fact it’s actually creating more. I think neck turning has the potential to do this.

Tell me why I shouldn’t get a Browning BLR in .308.

.308 win is the best all around cartridge ever designed by mortals.

    Blown primers on win brass

Take a look at your bolt face. I’m betting it’s etched from the gas escaping

    Blown primers on win brass

Win brass primer pockets tend to run on the large size and Win primers tend to be undersized. The combo of the two spells trouble

    Girsan MCP35 High Power

That’s largely the case with all Browning firearms (rifles, shotguns, pistols and machine guns), from the beginning to today. JMB was a prolific designer but neither he nor the Browning Company made any production firearms. They were always farmed out to others to make, namely Fabrique...

What reloading components have you overbought?

Same here. The byproducts of experiments that didn’t pan out. I also have a quantity of ball powders and bullets that worked fine for range blaster ammo in semi-auto rifles but once I started circling the accuracy drain these rifles and components started collecting dust. I try to use my...

Just got a new Teslong Bore Scope

It’s much better. You still have some in that stubborn first few inches of the bore. It’s a pain in the ass to remove when it’s built up over time. Once you have it gone it will be a much easier task to stay on top of it.

Just got a new Teslong Bore Scope

Yeah, that’s all nonsense. It’s just maintenance. No need to change the oil in your car at regular intervals. Ignorance is bliss. Just drive it. Looking forward to seeing the after pics

Just got a new Teslong Bore Scope

I can relate. Several years ago I had an accurate .308 that started shooting like a shotgun. After my trouble shooting failed to identify the root cause I took it to a gunsmith. First thing he did was stick a bore scope in it and showed me how filthy it was. I was shocked and a bit...
