I have two Mak, a Bulgarian and an E. German. I have not shot the EG as it looks as though it has never been shot. My Bulgarian doesn't shoot quite as well as the Russian Mak I used to have. Probably made a mistake getting rid of that one.
Anytime I feel like I want to sell it for something...
Thanks everyone for your help. My problem has been trying to get registered. Because I have a hotmail email address they wanted to charge me a dollar for verification. I put it on the back burnner for awhile to think about it. Then last night, I tried to continue further, as I decided to go...
I'm curious as to why some people say that refinishing a firearm, even back to it's original finish, causes the firearm to loose value. What makes this so?
Thanks.
Yes Therm, I too await your explanation why you say the 9 Mak round is a terrible round. Is this a Russian thing? :p
Sorry if this came out snarky, I just burned my macaroni and cheese. :banghead: However, please, tell us why.
Bear --> The LC9s (Pro) is a belly gun. Just like with any little pistol, including the new G43, you have to learn the limits of the pistol. I start training at 4yds with my 9s, eventually working out to 7yds. Sure, it seems silly to start so close, but it works. By the time my target is at...
The Romanian PSL had a bullet limitation of 150gr. Does anyone know if the new Vepr 54r rifles have the same limitations or are they capable of handling 150+gr?
Thanks for your help.
I've already watched it, like I do every year since they've displayed it for all to see on the internet. Forget the boomers. Although impressive indeed, I'd settle for one of those Kamov Ka-52 choppers. Of course, I wouldn't turn down a Sukhoi Su-34 either.
I've only shot it in the 9mm caliber. However, I've never had any issues with it. I've experienced more qc issues with WWB than I ever have with Prvi, especially lately.
Sadly, my P238 gave me problems as well. I also bought mine used. I probably experienced more ejection problems than feeding problems by a margin of around 3:1. It was a great looking little pistol but it had to go. I traded it for something else. I ran several factory brands of ammo, stuff I...
VA, thanks for the info. I was under the impression that the Portugal assembly didn't start until early 2000. I've always wanted one but they've always been out of reach for what my wife will let me spend. :o
Well, I wasn't considering the 300's and up basically due to the cost of the rounds. However, I will also keep those calibers in mind now. I have lots to research and read. I'll look into those sniper magazines for their thoughts.
rbern: the paper won't be impressed. That was a good one. :-)...
Thanks everyone. I don't really have much to add as I don't hunt and my longest range booths are only 100 yards. I've sold my Savage .17hmr and am wanting a replacement with a little heavier bullet and something with a little more thump.
I am between considerations of the CZ 527 in x39...
Thanks to all who have helped with this issue. I've decided to work with a trainer who trains LEO's and happens to be a friend of mine. I'll let you all know later down the road on how this is going. So far, however, its going really well.
Everyone knows that the AK-47 is not built with the tight tolerances of rifles such as the AR-15. Because of this, we don't consider the 7.62x39 round to be all that great of a long distance round. I've even heard the x39 being compared to the 30/30 round.
However, what about using the same...
Its legal where I am, but I usually don't because I have no internal locking compartments, which is strange for a new car. My old 05 had a locking glove box and it never bothered me to leave one in there. The glove box locked and it had an unusual alarm which I could recognize in an instant...
