It's been a while since I used Gunbroker. Can non FFLs not sell anymore?

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. I was getting ready to put a couple things up for sale on Gunbroker and it's telling me I need to set up a payment gateway. Difficulty: Apparently you need to be a business with an FFL to do so. Is that correct? Can that little guy just trying to sell...

Selling a rifle. Keep scope on, or separate them?

My big project last fall/winter was building up a nifty CZ 457. I got it done and it's been on a shelf ever since. I don't have the time (or a good place) to shoot these days. I'm thinking about just putting it up for sale. Am I better off taking off the scope and mounts out or just selling it...

Kidd 10/22: What kind of accuracy from bulk ammo?

The nephews are coming over next weekend and I'd like to let them do a little shooting. We'll probably set up a few paper targets and I've got some of those steel ones that flip around and reset. I don't need extreme precision Probably be shooting at about 20-40 yards. I'm not real keen on...

    Gunbroker Change?

Is Gunbroker having to verify a bank account something new? I've got my gunbroker pay account and two credit cards listed on there as payment methods and it worked fine over the summer. I sold some guns on there over the summer with no issues. (Unless I had my checking account attached then and...

Selling to FFL in another state

I've got a rifle for sale here in Illinois. A guy an hour north of me in Wisconsin would like to buy it. He is an FFL. Does he just need to put it in his records and give me a receipt, or is it more complicated than that?

Magpul 10/22 X22 Stock Bipod Mounting

I've got a new Kidd rifle on the way with a Magpul X-22 Hunter stock. I'll be putting my Harris bipod on the front from time to time and I'm curious how other people are doing it. I could drill through one of the dimples on the front of the stock that are provided for that purpose but the...

3x prism sights without the BDC?

Most red dot sights don't work for me so I was excited a couple years back when I got a Vortex Spitfire prism one. It was nice and clear with the illumination off and even when I turned it on, my astigmatism didn't make it hell. I've got a new 10/22 I'm wanting to put something on. I was...

    22 S/L/LR Rifles?

A lot of these old 22 rifles I'm looking at will handle 22 S / L / LR rounds, like the one my grandpa taught me with back in the day. I always like things that give me more options, but is it really useful these days? I don't think I've seen a box of 22 shorts (or longs for that matter) since...

    Knob question...

I'm a little confused about the knob on this Leupold MK AR Mod 1. Why do they put the 223 info on there? A mil is a mil and .1 mil is .1 mils, so the round makes no bearing on the adjustments, right?

    Alternatives to Leupold's Alumina caps?

Somehow over the years I've ended up putting those alumina flip up caps on nearly all my Leupold scopes. I've got another one on the way and I started thinking about caps and realized I don't really want to pay for another set of those, and they'd be wonky on my new adjustable objective scope...

    Scope for new 22lr

I've got a nice new Anschutz 22lr rifle. I'm going to be doing a mix of shooting offhand and with a bipod on the picnic table at the farm. No competitions. Distances will probably be between 25 and 100 yards I would think. I've got a Leupold VX3i 6.5-18x40 on my other one but that's more scope...

    Choosing a pump action 22

I'm trying to decide between a couple pump action 22s. Looking at either a Remington 121 or a 572 (The 572 would probably be pre-80s, not one of the newer ones.) As I understand it the 121 is probably a better gun. All steel and built like a tank. They've been out of production for like 66...

Rubbing noise from Remington 700 front end

I picked up this 700 Classic last month. Last week I finally got around to shooting it. When I got home and took it apart for cleaning I noticed the bolt release button didn't pop back up when I pushed it. Took it apart and fixed that (it just needed cleaning.) After getting it back together I...

    Remington 700 internal magazine question

Ok dumb question here. I had to take apart this Remington 700 Classic that I picked up last week. The magazine box slid out when I took the stock off. Those are pretty tight in my old ones, never had one come out like that. I assume the tapered end goes back in towards the top, and the curved...

I don't think this came from my 870...

The Mrs. was vacuuming and found this under the desk where I've been working on the guns. It doesn't look familiar. Any ideas? Size is as shown and it's a soft rubbery thing.

Squeaky 870 mag tube spring & follower?

After giving this 1973 era 870 a thorough cleaning and getting the gunk out of the mag tube I put in a new spring and follower. The spring and / or follower are pretty squeaky. I tried the old plastic follower and the old spring in there too with the same results. Is that normal?

    870 Wingmaster Magazine Tube Question

On the bottom of my 1973 12g Wingmaster's magazine tube about 1/2" from the end there's a hole about 3/16" wide. It's covered up when the barrel goes on. Is something supposed to go in there? The gun's in the work room. I can go take a pic of need be.

Getting another 6.5x55 Swede... but which one?

These gun purchases seem to come in spurts. As soon as I buy one I find another and another. I just finished my search for a shotgun this morning and during my gun broker searches I noticed something else. I've got my eyes on both a Remington 700 Classic and a Winchester Model 70 XTR...

    Newer vs older 870 Wingmasters

I've been looking at more 870 Wingmasters lately. Along with the newer ones I've been seeing some with "vintage" manufacture dates back in the 70s. In general I'm more inclined to go with an older one as I believe things were just made better back in the day. Is there a list somewhere of...

Pump or short side by side?

I don't have a shotgun at the moment. I don't really have a pressing need for one but I figure they're good for a lot of things -- hunting, home defense, and just fun. When someone says shotgun my mind immediately goes to pump guns. I've owned a few of them over the years but honestly none of...
