Florida’s Gun-Free Businesses May Soon Be Held Liable for Violence on Their Premises

Wouldn't it be very hard to prove in court that this was the cause of the outcome? The article speaks of "cause of action," - would this direct the law to automatically make the assumption that the outcome was due to this specific issue? I strongly believe that gun free zones get innocent...

Concealed Carrier shoots San Antonio Mall Robbery Suspect

Wait...you mean to tell me that these robbers chose to commit an armed robbery in a gun free zone? Of all places, why in Earth would they choose a place where law-abiding citizens are prohibited from carrying firearms? It must have been a coincidence, just like all those other shootings that...

    1911 or AR

Do you have a preference for a dual or single stage factory trigger? For example, http://www.impactguns.com/smith-wesson-mp15-sport-ii-ar15-556-16in-barrel-forward-assist-dust-cover-30rd-mag-022188868104.aspx vs...

CNN: Assassins released!! No more $200,000 tax stamps on suppressors.

That's a fair point regarding how not everything is inaccurate. Is the term "slanted" a better choice of vocabulary? By showing that movie clip of suppressors being used offensively to kill people, that shapes opinion. Perhaps my own cynicism led me to believe it was intentional. But whether...

best cleaning solvent for all firearms?

I've recently been on a kick with Hornady One Shot. I find its cleaning action to be more than enough for what I need, and like it because it provides friction reduction like the outstanding wet lubes, endurance one would expect of a dry lube, and corrosion protection not far off of that of...

What is the chance of the Hearing Protection Act becoming law?

So does that mean Congress is unlikely to give consideration to the financial benefit of eliminating the tax stamp? (and possibly the job creation that could come about from it?)

CNN: Assassins released!! No more $200,000 tax stamps on suppressors.

Yup. And it was nothing more than hysteria and wrong facts, using sensationalized movies as a scare tactic. That is fake news. There is no such thing as a $200,000 tax stamp for a can. They are $199,800 off. There is no evidence suggesting this is what "assassins" use. There is no evidence...

    1911 or AR

The price on ARs may see a nice future decline, but because it is a constant target of gun control, I don't think anything with its future availability is ever certain. So, if it were me personally, I would purchase a lower or two (maybe one serialized for multical and one incomplete) and then...

Ban on lead on Federal land

It doesn't matter what the study outcome says. The outcome could say, "the effect of lead is negligible in its environment impact" and it would be spun regardless to make it into a public health crisis or an environmental disaster where hunters are "destroying our national heritage sites". This...

CNN: Assassins released!! No more $200,000 tax stamps on suppressors.

It's a shame other news sites are not covering this and calling out the integrity behind those promoting fake news stories like this. They are blatantly misrepresenting the facts.

What is the chance of the Hearing Protection Act becoming law?

I agree that using it as a component of budget reconciliation could increase the odds of it passing. If the bill passes, I am willing to bet that it would be financially beneficial to both State and Federal governments. The increased sales of cans, firearms for suppressing, and accessories like...

CNN: Assassins released!! No more $200,000 tax stamps on suppressors.

They are so worried about how this will impact "safety," and yet they still aren't saying anything about all of those criminals being pardoned that are convicted of gun crimes...?

Ironman 6042 Safe Anyone Own One?

As I don't have experience with the Ironman safe, I'm not sure how much this will help you, but if this helps you in your comparison, regarding the NF, it is a mid-level gun safe that has a 1/4 inch steel door, 11 gauge side armor, and a standard fire resistant design. Consequently, it is...

I wonder if California's ammo background check might have a silver lining

Like Francis Underwood in House of Cards, the tactics are as ingenious as they are misleadingly crooked. My guess is that they will first make lead into a bigger public health issue, engage in community outreach efforts to convince those who do not own guns that gun owners shooting lead bullets...

I wonder if California's ammo background check might have a silver lining

Agreed. They want to avoid pissing off the entire 2A community at once, because they know that 10,000 minor (and often indirect) anti-gun laws are more feasible to get by than one big anti-gun law that does the same thing. If they can only piss off say 10% of the 2A community over a smaller...

    Most regretted gun purchase?

Mosquito...the two tone looked so badass I couldn't say no. People told me to buy a Mark II or Mark III or Buckmark. But noooooooooo...I just had to have the gun that looked badass. I bought it. Shot it. Cleaned it. Shot it again. Cleaned it. And then put it on consignment. I feel bad for...

    Small Folder Recommendations

If you are looking for something with a 2-2.25 inch blade, my recommendation is the Spyderco Dragonfly. IMO, it can perform tasks that other 2 inch folders cannot due to a better handle design & its use of spine serrations, VG-10 steel holds a good edge, has great toughness and corrosion...

I wonder if California's ammo background check might have a silver lining

It might. One tactic often used is the, "we aren't going after hunters". I think many gun control agendas intentionally target individual segments, because the backlash is more manageable and support from people on the fence is easier to muster. This also might show those people on the fence...

    Pay attention...

I'm always telling people that we don't need more gun control, we need more poop control. Had this poor fellow followed my poopy protocol, his pistol would have been ready for action.

What Guns and Suppressors do you plan on buying if the HPA passes?

I hope that if the law passes the price of suppressors will dramatically fall as production volume increases (and perhaps also as the social stigma and potential liability decreases.) I know that some of them use Inconel for the baffles but even then the pricing on some of them are just nuts.
