Handled a North American Arms today

Don't mind ROA, He's an old soul. @Boarhunter: The LCR is a nice revolver platform and if Ruger would make a 3" LCRx in .22 LR I'd buy it over the NAA. Unfortunately, they seem adamant on only offering that in .38 Special.

    Should i convert ?.

What cheap used gun are you looking at getting?

Why were these guys detained at all?

I think since 9/11, any officer worth his salt knows what language "Allahu Akbar" is or what it means.

Handled a North American Arms today

^ The Mini Master is more than the basic models, but what you get is a set of real sight, adjustable ones at that, the conversion cylinder, and a 4" barrel. The NAA's you're talking about aren't good for anything past 5 yards. You can't tell me that this gun: with these grips isn't a...

Carry Ammo Recommendations for .40 S&W?

Personally I like Critical Duty more than Critical Defense. Yeah, might not expand that much, but it does expand and it keeps it doesn't shed weight where the Critical Defense loses petals all the time. But Critical Defense is meant for short (3 to 4 inch) barrels. Post #2 is right: any of the...

Why were these guys detained at all?

IDK... maybe because there was a big story a few months ago about a shooting in SoCal that involved Muslims and a government office or something?

    45 bottlenecked to 9mm

A better, "more" common round similiar to this is called 9x25 Dillon. It's a 10mm Auto necked down to 9mm and has a lot of power. Can easily convert a 10mm Glock into 9x25 with just a barrel change and maybe a new spring. But, even 9x25 Dillon has dropped out of favor because people by in large...

Handled a North American Arms today

I think I will really like them once I buy one. The .22LR/.22Mag with adj. sights would make a versatile, light revolver good for carrying in the woods, plinking, or defense.

Handled a North American Arms today

Yeah, I did have to reposition my hand to cock the hammer, but I was paying more attention to the trigger and how easy/hard it was to pull. I think with the larger grip it would assist with that too.

Handled a North American Arms today

and honestly, I thought it was a quality built revolver, thought the trigger was crisp, and didn't have any issues with the small grip. This was at a gun store and the model NAA they had was the Pug. It's not the model I would buy, I'm looking at getting the Mini Master with 4 inch barrel and...

Remington style sights vs Colt style sights

Pretty much the reason I'm interested in the 1862 Police, to "taste" the variety :D

Ammunition no longer manufactured in the United States

^ Yeah, and that's the thing about "obsolete" ammunition as it pertains to antiques or replicas: it can go either way. The three centerfire cartridges I know of that are "obsolete" are the .577 Snider, .450/.577 Martini-Henry, and the .50-90 Sharps. .577 Snider however, is pretty easy to make...

Ammunition no longer manufactured in the United States

I surmise the reason BATFE doesn't have a master list of ammunition they consider no longer manufactured/available in ordinary channels of commercial trade is because once they release a list, everyone will know what is no longer considered currently manufactured or in ordinary channels of trade...

Real Reason for 380 over a 32 cal.?

If you shoot the .32 well and have become accustomed to it, none. If someone had no prior exposure to any .32 or .380, I would steer them to .380 because it does have more power than .32 ACP.

Rising prices of Ruger Police and Service Six why?

IMO, it's because of the low QC with newly made Ruger revolvers. Ruger use to make good revolvers for great prices, but if you buy a new Ruger today you're taking a chance. I'd rather buy a used Ruger than a new one today. Sorry, but I don't think people making $10.50/hr really know or are...

Do you think .22 Rimfire is becoming obsolete?

lol... Remington .22 LR isn't even worth $.05/round in my opinion.

    Henry .22 rimfire

Don't own one or have shot one, but if you have the temptation, get one. I can't think of a better valued or higher quality newly produced .22 lever gun other than Henry.

Remington style sights vs Colt style sights

Since I've yet to shoot an open top Colt replica, I have a few questions for the "more seasoned" shooters here. So, between the two: Which sights do you favor and why? Which do you believe you shoot best with? Which types of shooting do the two sights have an advantage in (i.e. Colt is...

    Idaho permitless carry law signed!

It's not going to matter in certain states. States with majority Democrat legislatures will NEVER pass permitless carry and even traditionally pro gun states, like Texas or the rest of the South won't do it either because, IMO, it's got to do with the large minority populations. Nope, the good...

    Glock mags, why so inexpensive?

I wouldn't, not in a Glock at least. I have a 31 rd .40 mag and that worked flawlessly in a Kel Tec Sub2k, but it was a POS in a Glock pistol. I don't know why it would work so well in a Kel Tec and be a piece of junk in a Glock, but strange things happen in this universe. *que Twilight Zone theme*
