    62gr FMJ BT .223 and H4198

That's a good point regarding the SS109 projectile... I typically use H335, Benchmark, or Win 748 for those loads. My favorite was pulled WC844 when it was inexpensive, plentiful, and available back in the day. These are a lead core fmj 62gr bullet. And yes, the 63gr data would not be an issue...

    62gr FMJ BT .223 and H4198

As I had mentioned in an earlier post, I would work up some loads and report it here for anyone interested. I loaded up some test rounds with H4198 and the 62gr FMJ projectile (not XM855 although there shouldn't be much of a difference). The test rounds were as follows: [email protected] gr, [email protected]...

Do many people purchase an $800.00 380 pistol?

The only way I'd own a Kimber is if someone gave it to me. I would never pay their outrageous prices... especially for a 380. You are absolutely right. Reliability and firepower is the key to staying alive. My XDs 45 suits me just fine.

If he is referring to what is pictured, it looks like a Beretta. I do not recall ever seeing a Beretta in .380 with a retail or street value of $800.

    9mm primer possible pressure signs

From experience, I have noticed a couple of my striker fire pistols with light strike issues and misfires, including my XDm. I remedied that issue by using Federal primers (both standard and match) as they are a softer primer. I haven't had an issue since. You might want to give that a try.

    9mm primer possible pressure signs

That is a typical pin strike from a Beretta. The primers always look like that.

    62gr FMJ BT .223 and H4198

Thanks to all you guys for all your feedback. Much appreciated. I will work up a safe load for this 62gr bullet and report it here. I have heard all the negative input concerning the H4198 for the 223. And the IMR 4198 is somewhat faster burning, from what I understood, and therefore a better...

    62gr FMJ BT .223 and H4198

I have reloaded 55gr 223 with H4198 with good success and there is load data out there to support it.... however, not so much with 62gr. What I don't understand is that you will find load data for 55 gr and 63 gr, but nothing at all for 62gr. What's the deal? Is that 1 grain from 62 to 63 going...
