    need advice reguarding my 870

I recently purchased an 870 express turkey. I chose that model because I basically wanted a general use shotgun. I liked the 21inch barrel that the gun came with because of it's removable choke capability and i really shoot better with the vent rib. i think this would be useful for defense...

    modern day sten?

Have you handled a s&w model 76 lately? Compaired to that, an ak-47 is ergonomic heaven. Also, ak sights are more than enough to exceed the accuracy capability of the pistol rounds being fired, and miles better than the sights of the old smg's. Obviously the point of this supposed design is to...

    modern day sten?

you guys really are discouraging. yes, I agree the sten isn't a very good gun by todays standards, but that's not because it's made from simple materials! it's because someone put the magazine well on the side, it's god a badly designed trigger, bad sights, ect. it was hastily produced in a time...

    modern day sten?

Sorry for mis labeling those guns as junk. That's just my opinion. I just think they all have a magazine or ergonomic problem that could have been avoided but wasn't. The main benefits of my design idea would be extreme simplicity. Also the idea of having two trigger frame configurations...

    modern day sten?

We've seen our fair share of tech-9's, hi point carbines, kel tek's and other "affordable" firearms that turned out as junk. Thinking about the nature of these weapons and their past militairy counterparts like the sten and s&w 76, I imagined a modern version being made that would surpass all...

range limit for the m1 garand?

I'd say they're pretty accurate. Mine is one of the least accurate m-1's I've seen producing four moa groups. Despite this, I recently shot it past 100 yards for the first time. I set up a man sised target at 300 yards wondering if a cold bore hit was possible just by dialing in. Sure enough my...

    22. sniper rifle

i've been looking into something of that sort as well. i want to buy a .22lr "trainer" rifle to practice with before i wind up getting the remington LTR set up that i want. i've chosen the savage MKII varmint rifle for my future rig. of witch, the final price should be around 600 bones due...

    Opinions on this.. Air gun?

Yep it's a pretty cool niche. although... That's no ordinary pump. it'll go all the way up to 3000 psi. Expensive stuff too.

    long range rimfire

i had a hard time believing it too, but you have to keep in mind that these are very accurate rifles using good ammunition in front of great shooters. check it out- 150 yards- http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1136501#Post1136501 just some talk-...

    long range rimfire

Recently on other gun forums a few people have tested their accurate rimfire rifles as far out as 500 yards with suprising success. The idea has sparked my interest quite a bit. I'm half way saved up to a 7.62 LTR rig that i'd planned to try my hand at long range shooting with but it's going...

What's the most powerful CO2 powered pellet gun?

pressure is not the only thing that matters. your calculations are also very wrong. the most powerful co2 gun would probably be a modified crosman. some have come close to 800 fps in .22. then again... co2 becomes much more efficient as you increase the bore sise. a modified 9mm crosman 2240...

    air rifle

the gamo whisper is supposed to be pretty quiet. then again... all springers are really quiet. (it seems quite loud to the shooter because of vibration) a multi pump pneumatic can be pretty quiet too. you can pump one 2-4 times for aplications that require low noise production while...

forward mounted "scout" scope on an Ar-15?

Are the two piece handguard replacements actually solid enough for a scope though? unless thay clamp to the barrel somehow, i would imagine they would woble. that's not an option with optics.

forward mounted "scout" scope on an Ar-15?

What type of handguards would be solid enough to mount a "scout" scope to an ar-15? would free float be best? or are there replacement railed handguards that can clamp solidly enough to the barrel? thanks for the replies guys, Colt T

    fortunate story/ar question

recently i spent a week at my grandfathers' land. we worked in the morning and played in the evening. my friend cody and i got to do everything a teenage boy could ask for. after the work, we got to do alot of shooting with my ar-15, my m-1 and my 10/22 along with my brother's 10/22 for cody to...

    quick saiga question

if i were to take a regular saiga 7.62x39 and only convert it to take regular, high capacity ak mags, would it need the nessisary ammount of compliance parts for it to be legal? or without the pistol grip, would it still be considered a "sporting" rifle - not an "assault" rifle? thanks, Colt T.
