S&W J Frame- Centennial vs Chief’s Spl. vs Bodyguard

Centennial for me. Although my first J frame was a 638 and really enjoyed it, I wouldn't mind owning another.

    Tisas B9 Duty 9MM

I have 2 Tisas 1911s; the 1911A1 and the stainless carry SS45. They are great for the money. The A1 was great out of the box. The SS45 carry needed a new recoil spring and some minor tweaks. No complaints.

Street reputation of various handgun loads?

I completely agree with your assessment. Shot placement and penetration are what matters most. What you hit is more important than a millimeter or two different in bullet diameter, as long as you have the penetration to get to the vitals.

Have striker fired autos taken over?

I agree with DA/SA. I prefer it for carry for the additional safety factor. I do carry Glocks and I trust them. A Glock cannot release the striker unless the trigger is pulled. Which is better than some of the newer designs. Still when adrenaline is high I prefer a DA trigger and I definitely...

Have striker fired autos taken over?

Mec gar makes 18 round flush fit mags for the full size Beretta 92. 15 rounds for the compact. It is very heavy compared to most polymer guns though, even the "compact".

Have striker fired autos taken over?

Yes, polymer framed striker fired handguns are what is hot on the market. Carry and shoot what is best for you though.

Are you "Gun Amish?" Or do you have a Red Dot on your pistol?

I don't have a red dot on a pistol. I plan on trying one out eventually but I keep buying other stuff. I understand the advantages but there are also disadvantages too. For concealed carry I like the simplicity, reliability, and less bulk of just using irons.

New handgun names sometimes make me wonder…

Night stalker is also the nickname of a military unit. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/160th_Special_Operations_Aviation_Regiment_(Airborne) Night stalker doesn't offend me too much but I generally agree there are a lot of bad names. "Hellcat" is pretty awful.

If You Could Have Only One Carry Piece For SD What Would It Be?

Glock 19. It's the firearm I am most confident in. I carry and shoot it the most.

    10mm?

Yeah it's It's a great woods cartridge. What's not to love about a cartridge with the power to handle large beasts and the capacity for self defense against multiple people? I find my Glock 20 easier to conceal than my big revolvers and lighter weight. I like having a woods gun that I can...

I may actually buy a Glock

Exactly. If you can't shoot a Glock well it's not the Glock, it's the shooter. They are the perfect combat triggers in my opinion. Anything lighter is a liability. And the safe action system is bomb proof. It will not fire unless you pull the trigger.

    Striker fired handguns. Why not?

    I greatly prefer striker fired.
