    6mm Arc brass

Here's another option for annealing. It is fairly pricey but seems to offer some nice features. https://burstfireguns.com/collections/burstfire/products/new-gen-2-burstfire-2-in-1-case-annealer-case-prep-center I'm still using the EP. It works okay but is a pain to set up each time. It would...

    6mm Arc brass

All for naught now. Starline has officially announced 6mm ARC brass. It looks like the first batches are already sold out. Hopefully another run will be produced shortly.

    6mm Arc brass

Finally got around to getting more water capacity measurements. Starline hold about 33 grains of water.

    6mm Arc brass

Yes. I've had this happen too although not with all head stamps. Seems more common with the imported stuff. I don't recall ever having a belt form when converting Win, FC or Starline brass. Here's something that may help. I haven't tried it personally. Also the fellow can't look in the case at...

    6mm Arc brass

A video on fire forming. Works pretty well in my experience although costly being that it required a bullet, powder and primer.

    6mm Arc brass

Working with Starline Grendel basic would seem to be much more work than just sizing and trimming 6.5 Grendel. I assume the basic brass would require sizing and working in several stages to avoid creasing the necks or buckling the shoulder. I did talk to Starline briefly at SHOT. I asked the...

    6mm Arc brass

Bumping out of curiosity. Anyone else come up with a solution for ARC brass?

    6mm ARC

Yep. Talked to one of the BH reps at SHOT. He had no info other than it had been announced....

What specifically makes PSA AKs subpar to imports?

    6mm ARC

I talked to Starline briefly at SHOT. They do not have plans for 6 ARC at this time. Really only three options at this point: Factory ammo and then reload. Grendel brass sized and trimmed. Works well. Forming brass from something else. I've made probably 750 pieces of ARC from 7.62x39...

Shadow Systems with Steiner or Aimpoint

So far the Shadow Systems seems to be the only "factory" option for a gun that's directly milled for the new Aimpoint ACRO or Steiner MPS. https://www.police1.com/police-products/firearms/articles/review-xr920-from-shadow-systems-wFI3BZ8OxqV1cxOk/ Down side is the cut appears to only be...

Staccato 2011s for Law Enforcement Use

I used an STI in Limited for a number of years. Changed mag springs annually and kept a mag brush handy in my range bag. I don't recall ever having mag issues. And I usually loaded long but the gun didn't care. It ran fine with factory ammo as well.

Staccato 2011s for Law Enforcement Use

Yep. Pretty fair price especially if the guns are in decent condition.

Staccato 2011s for Law Enforcement Use

Some years back, when I was active in USPSA, I had a Rock Island double stack tuned up as my backup match pistol. It was based on the Para, as noted, so it was not a direct replacement for my STI. But the gun was similar enough in size, weight, trigger, controls that I could use it without issue...

Staccato 2011s for Law Enforcement Use

Many have complained about the grip size. It is still a common complaint with the Staccato. I think the Caspian was pretty good in this regard but I haven't held one now in years. Anyway that's part of the reason for my earlier comment about a Ruger 1911 hicap that runs on Glock mags. Or P320...

Staccato 2011s for Law Enforcement Use

Without doing a bunch of googling I believe a Tanfoglio mag will work with some mods to the mag catch area. Or MBX sells a ready to run mag.

Staccato 2011s for Law Enforcement Use

Sort of an untapped market here. It might be cool to make a modern hicap 1911 that runs on Magpul Glock mags. But even without that I think the Caspian frame can be made to run with Tanfoglio mags.

Staccato 2011s for Law Enforcement Use

Todd Jarrett himself probably went from running in first place to coming in a few off the top spot several times because of reliability issues. As I understand it, Para had a similar issue that STI had. Mags designed for max capacity with 45 Auto that didn't work quite as well with 40, 38...
