    Have you ever been shot?

Thankfully no, but been shot at a few times as a LEO. I’ve seen a few of my brothers shot and don’t recommend it.

    Powders for the 222 Remington

I’ve used 4895, Varget and 4198 to load 50gn Vmax in my 722. Of those 3, 4198 is my favorite. The triple deuce is one of my favorite rifles to shoot.

    Sig making own primers?

I was speaking to the owner of my lgs last week and we were talking about the primer situation. She said that when she spoke with Sig, she’s a dealer, that their primer production for the reloading market probably won’t be seen to maybe 2022. Hopefully Vista gets the Remington ammo plant up and...

Primers are still out for somewhat reasonable prices..

I also almost always let the car warm up as it’s a bit chilly here in NY. My 2007 Ford F-150, manual says you don’t need to let the engine warm up as it’s good to go right away. Then my 2017 Chevy Traverse manual says to let it warm up as it could damage the transmission if it’s cold out and you...

    My new Kimber

Since there aren’t too many components due to the shortage, my fun gun money was building up, so I decided I needed a new 1911. I already reload for it and have a bunch of it, plus my S&W M&P 45 needed a friend. So bought this Kimber Gold Match II, she is used bought looks cared for and little...

I goofed... Looks like I joined the club

I stuck a 222 and tried using the home made removal tool with a course thread bolt. The threads ripped right out. I hung my head in shame and sent it to Hornady for removal. Since them I am very liberal with case lube.

    Reloading my 222 Remington

My Rem 722 222 with 1/14 twist does not like 55gn fmj. I’ve been using Hornady 50gn V-max and some 4198, which she truly likes.

    32-40 Winchester Brass

For those that are interested, I was looking for some brass for my Win 92 32-40 and found this. They are supposedly correct headstamped 32-40 made by Starline. It was a special run for them. I have never ordered from this company, just passing info along...
