I needed a funnel to load individual 30-06 brass. I cut down a cheap plastic margarita glass. I carefully drilled a hole in the bottom that just fits over the mouth of the case. It works great, stays attached to the case and the clear plastic is a bonus.
I have not tried TAC. My usual is BL-C(2), but I was recently given some IMR 4895. Both of these powders can yield match grade ammo.
@Jdague12 Do you have a pic of your target?
There is at least a 12-week backlog at Dillon for the XL-750 press. That says something about the number of new reloaders entering the field. Hopefully, the panic will diminish with a little time.
If I reload a small batch (<100) of some caliber, I case gage them all. If I am reloading a large batch (~1000), I carefully check the first 10 out of the press, then 10-20% of the finished rounds. If there are any problems, they tend to reveal themselves in those first few rounds.
ETA: I do...
My bench is also in the house. It is a Windsor woodworking bench from Harbor Freight. It's anchored to wall studs in four places to keep it steady. I'm using the buckets on the left to sort 223 brass by headstamp.
