Interesting Enfields Atlantic Arms just received

I received an email this morning alerting me to Atlantic Arms having No1, MKIII Enfields for sale. Looks to be pretty nice lot, and not the de-milled kind. :) The one thing that stands out to me is, they are limited to only 5 round magazines. In the fine print, it says that 10 round magazines...

    Question on Ishapore No1, MKIII

Hi all, I had a question and I thought I would ask it here. I bought recently one of the drill-demilled training rifles from J&G Sales. Its a 1958 Ishapore No1, MKIII with the pin in the receiver. I had to go through the background check on it, as its still considered a firearm. Question is...

    Enfield fun

Well, they are finally here. Three Enfields, all Ishapore, in one way or another. I'm going to have a lot fun tearing them apart, grease and all. :-) 1st, top: Ishapore 410, receiver dated 1917, converted 1939 2nd, middle: Ishapore Enfield, drill rifle, dated 1957. 3rd, bottom: Ishapore...

    New to me Taurus PT1911

She's finally home. As soon as it cools down some, I plan on seeing what she can do. My neighbor down the road had this 45. after her husband passed away. So, after the sale price, transfer fee, waiting period, I get to have her home. :-)

    Question about S&W Model 10

Hi all, quick question: Are all S&W Model 10's have the same barrel threads for their 38. Special barrels? Looking for info before making a purchase.

    Gun shop question

Has a local gun shop ever done anything that would make you not shop there again, after years of shopping at that establishment?

    Colt revolver info

Hi all, been thinking I might see about getting an old vintage revolver, because I am that kind of guy. The ones I am mulling over are the Colt Cobra 38. Special (1960's area) or the Colt Police Positive Special in 38. Special. Is there anything to look out for on these, besides their age and...

Anyone for a "fixer upper" sks?

Besides Classic, it seems Centerfire Systems has some deals on old sks rifles. $250 is not bad for a one, conditions though....well, my gunsmith special is in better condition. But hey, its not like they are making the old ones anymore. Just passing it along.

    Luger P08 Question

Been mulling over getting a Luger P08 again, just biding my time to find the right one. My question to you all is, where pitting is encountered, would you be any concerned in firing it? One I am looking at has some pitting on the frame. Is there a way to clean it up a bit?

    Sarcoinc. changes

I am sure some of you know and have shopped at Sarcoinc from time to time. Recently they upgraded their page for that "modern" look, but when I go on it, each category for firearms comes up empty, even for frames. Has this happened to you as well? Just curious, maybe its just me.

    Flea Market Find

Well, this one is interesting. Local flea market usually has some interesting things, and i have never come across one around here like this. Maybe trench art, maybe not, but its interesting all the same. :-)

M1 Carbine saga nearing the end..

It feels so good to have it done! Just had to get that out first.... I have a Universal Gen 1 that the pot metal aluminum trigger pack cracked on me after I got it off of gunbroker after the 2 only rounds I have though it. I considered getting another one, but after extensive research, and help...

    Old Unknown Stock

Can anyone tell me what rifle goes to this stock? I have no idea, has some numbers stamped on it, but no maker's mark anywhere. I cuts into my skin when I shoulder it, the curve is pretty extreme. Just curious more then anything, been digging through my stuff I put away as a kid.

The good ol days of 1959...

Been going through some of my collection of old American Rifleman magazines, thought I'd share some of those old ads. Wouldn't mind having one of those Johnson rifles though...has anyone ever seen one in 270 Win or 7mm?

Anyone here know of the 5.7 Spitfire??

Evening all, recently a deal too good to pass up came my way on Gunbroker, and its now on lay-a-way. For now though, I am looking for information on the 5.7 MMJ Spitfire. Now, here's the odd part....I am not 100% sure its actually a Spitfire. Seems to be an Inland Division WWII M1 Carbine, and...

    S&W 13 question

Had a question for all who have had one of these. Would you shoot a revolver that had water damage like this one? Trying to talk myself out of this, but I love the lines on the pistol. What do you think? Condition wise, its rated "poor" but is there still some life in it?

FEG Mark II APK 380 acp

Hello all, I been window shopping for a while on everyone's favorite place, Gunbroker, and have been looking at one of these. From what I have been able to learn is, this is their all steel, both slide and frame model. Has anyone had one of these, and can tell me the pros and cons of it? Yes...

    Quandry for me

I am a crossroad of what I want and what will fit me. I have right now a very nice, almost new Daewoo DP51 pistol, with two magazines. It shoots well, never a mis fire. But, it doesn't fit my small hands as well as I was hoping. Plus the safety is so small, and to click it on I have to move my...
