Walther, smith n Wesson, or keltec

I've handled all three. I bought the Walther, it just felt like more effort had been spent on development and ergonomics. It also has been superb for reliability and accuracy. I think that I made the right choice. I am a huge KelTec and Smith fan, the Walther just out performed them.

    Why 32 h&r?

The reason that I keep a .32 around is versatility. A revolver chambered in 327FDRL can safely and accurately fire 327FDRL, 32H&R, .32LNG (.32COLTNP), .32ACP (7.65BRWNNG), .32S&W, .32COLT. There is nothing magic about the 327 chambering. It just adds 2 more options to the variety. My actual...

Curious about the lethality of the 44 Rem Mag and 308 vs the 30-30

About the only thing that has killed more deer in NA than the 30-30 would probably be the .22. Let that soak in.... Shot placement is everything, no matter what you use.

How well made were Llama semi-autos?.....

The classic Llamas were fine right up to the mid-late 1980s or so. Most of the Spanish Arms industry really suffered about this time. My experience with the 1940s-1970s era pistols has been positive. The 1980s-1990s not so much... I have a new Llama branded Philippian Metro Arms produced 38...

    Scary Pre-Hunting Story

True story.. Saw a guy the other day bring just the SCOPE in and wanted it sighted in for 200 yds. JUST the scope, no rifle. Got angry when he was told that that was not how it worked...

    Has Anyone Used Proxibid?

Find a local auction house to consign for you at 10-15% and it is an excellent way to disposition a collection. Buying on the other hand can get expensive... It does bring in the buyers though.

Has anyone here ever won a gun in a raffle?

I won a Sig 9mm once, I think it was called the 938? Anyway, went to pick it up and managed to trade it straight on S&W JM625 .45.The shop had had it for a while, and he felt the 938 was an easier sell. No plans to ever part with the 625.

All my dad's loads are over max.

Over the years, some manuals have become much more conservative. His loads may have been hot but ok when he worked them up.

Webley 455 - trying to determine value

Looks like a bumper chrome plated bring home. Very common post WW2. The chrome job pretty much kills collectability. I have never seen a factory plated one. I won't say that they don't exist, but if they do they are EXTREMELY rare. This one however appears to be refinished. Even still, it's...

Looking for a decently priced accurate 9mm

A SAR B6P is really hard to beat. I bought one just because it was so cheap and appeared to be well built. It is super accurate and operates flawless.

Over the years I've had two Bearcats. Never really took to them. Don't have one now. Just felt too much like a toy.

    Ammo Stockpiles

I do a lot "junking" flea markets, pawn shops, yard sales, etc.. I buy every nearly box of under priced ammo I find. Especially in calibers I use. I store it in sealable metal 5 gallon containers with desicate (sp). One day this stuff will not be available or very difficult to find, and it will...

OMG! WalMart to stop selling all handgun ammo!

I know it would be lax of me to not give out my source for cheap ammo, but I'm just not gonna do it.

How does one sell their gun collection when the time has come?

Find a good local reputable auction company to handle the estate. Negotiate your collection to a 10% sellers premium; and let them Proxibid a live auction. Hard to beat and easy.
