Are you old enough to remember when firearms were proudly displayed?

My (highly academic) HS here in California continues to have great vocational training as well -- shop classes. Wood, weld/machine, automotive, ag, electronics, etc.

Which pump 22 for action shooting -- Rossi Gallery 22 or Henry Pump Action 22?

I really appreciate the input. I was aware the Henry pump was really a lever gun cludge, but I just wanted to make sure. I also knew the older Rossi pumps were fairly good guns once they were tuned to run. Sure enough it sounds like they changed designed too. While still operationally better...

Which pump 22 for action shooting -- Rossi Gallery 22 or Henry Pump Action 22?

Yeah, I need/want a pump. When it comes to 22's, they cycle faster than lever guns -- particularly when the targeting is more difficult than the CAS bangf/clang targeting.

Which pump 22 for action shooting -- Rossi Gallery 22 or Henry Pump Action 22?

Yeah, for the class I'm looking at, an exposed hammer is a must. I already run a Remington 572 in another class. It's fast/reliable, but it does not have an external hammer. I also have a Remington 121 with an internal hammer that "might" be approved due to its age. I would go that route if...

Which pump 22 for action shooting -- Rossi Gallery 22 or Henry Pump Action 22?

Fascinating, thanks. Was the Henry pump just too difficult to cycle? Too clunky? How about the older Rossi vs. the newer Rossi (in addition to the furniture changes?) Are the mechanisms a lot different? Thanks for your insights.

Which pump 22 for action shooting -- Rossi Gallery 22 or Henry Pump Action 22?

That's the problem in my case. For competition the rifle must have an exposed hammer. I already compete in another class and I have for years with a Remington 572. It's fast/reliable, but it does not have an external hammer.

Which pump 22 for action shooting -- Rossi Gallery 22 or Henry Pump Action 22?

Hello; I'm trying to decide between the current product Rossi Gallery 22 or the Henry Pump action 22 for action 22 shooting? I don't know a lot about either one. The Rossi is based on the Winchester M1890. It's lighter and shorter than the Henry which is good for action shooting. The Henry...

Loaders for Kel-Tec CP33 -- American SpeedLoaders, Ludex or MakerShot. Which one?

Hello; Does anyone here have experience with the American SpeedLoaders, Ludex or MakerShot loaders for Kel-Tec CP33? Any recommendations? The American SpeedLoaders and Ludex designs seem quite similar. The MakerShot loader seems far similar. Thanks.

I'm hesitant to post a photo of our gun room, but except for the antler chandelier and rug, this is very close. Plus, both handguns and long guns are on display along with edged weapons.

Do you display your firearms and related collectables?

This made me think about the number of firearms that have been offered to me over the years for free or very good deals because the owners could not longer find the bolts they were advised to remove years earlier.

Do you display your firearms and related collectables?

Good for you! I think that means a lot. Don't get me wrong, it's clear some derive actual pleasure (not simply peace of mind) from talking about just how secure their arms are. It's fairly amusing. Others like to see/touch their wares on a daily basis. It brings us pleasure. No...
