I may be wrong but I think the shotgun and rifle frames are two different frames and NEF will not put a rifle barrel on a shotgun frame. Check their website on the accessory barrels part. RJ

Sort of a similar question. I have a 44 Deerfield and I have wanted to put a red dot on it. It has Ruger's proprietary mount onit. I have seen a replacement mount for the ranch rifles and these seem to share a mounting system with the Deerfield. Would one of these work on the Deerfield? RJ
