Ever pour out or give away good powder you don't like?

I can’t imagine pouring out perfectly good powder. I did give my best buddy an open pound of Ramshot True Blue the other day, it just wasn’t what I was looking for.

Laptop Reloading. Lee hand press review

I started reloading 38 Special using the Lee Hand Press. It's a great device for getting away from the bench and working in the living room or on the patio. I actually like the way it catches the spent primers for easy disposal. From time to time my cousin and I will reload together. He will...

Poll: How long have you been reloading?

I started reloading 20 gauge on a MEC 600 with my father around 1970. Got away from shooting in my young adult years. Once my wife showed an interest in handguns, that renewed my enthusiasm! We handload 380, 9mm, 38 Special and 40s on an RCBS single stage. She laughs because I spend so much...

When did you start reloading ?

At age 8 (1967) my father started me quail hunting with .410 shotgun. It wasn’t long before we moved on to 20 and 12 gauge. In the off season we shot trap almost every Saturday. We had two MEC 600’s and reloaded constantly. I didn’t have any money for supplies and Dad didn’t have the time to...

Off the wall question - how long do you tumble brass?

After years of experimenting I have settled on 3 hours in walnut with a few small drops of Turtle Wax All Metal Polish. Best results are achieved in small batches (100-150) using a minimum quantity of media. The waxed brass sizes without the need for lubricant.

How Do You Store Primed Brass?

I usually prepare small batched of primed brass (100-200), it goes in plastic ammo trays and is stored in ammo can until ready for use. The loading room is in the basement and typically a damp environment.
