I decided to try one of these inexpensive Rough Ryder slipjoints. This Blue Mule sunfish was only eleven bucks. No one gets excited about 440 steel these days, but it was once thought to be good stuff.
You can buy blade banks on Amazon or repurpose an old jar or can with a lid. I slip mine into the wife's sharps container and let the clinic deal with them. I collect vintage razors and shave with them .
One of the stupidest things I have done is let the razor slip out of my hand and then reflexively catch it. That was a good cut. If you don't like handling blades try an injector, such as the Supply SE. There are also thousands of vintage Gem razors out there.
I've got two Russian M44s, one with a laminated stock. One 91/30 which I bought when Century was selling them three for $99. I also have 91 long rifle, which has Finn markings. All were made by Ishevsk.
