    Taurus "Executive Grade" Revolvers?

I was looking for the msrp. Nevermind, its $689. If it was chambered in .357 they’d have my money.

    Small Ring Mauser Action build.

Yes 6.5x55 is the obvious choice. Great cartridge and your action was literally designed for it specifically. Not hard to find ammo either at least where i’m from.

What makes a good skinning knife?

https://www.amazon.com/SZCO-Supplies-Small-Skinner-Patch/dp/B00CF0GFOI/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?crid=2KLTBKVFLU3QR&keywords=patch+knife&qid=1644900482&sprefix=patch+knife%2Caps%2C165&sr=8-7 I got one of these and have never been happier. For $6.25 what do you have to lose?

Most "efficient" cartridge for each caliber?

Also, generally speaking for myself, the bigger the cartridge, the less rounds get fired. I’d be willing to bet i’ve burned more powder in my lifetime shooting .22 lr than anything else.

    454 Casull Redhawk question

I guess theres always that fear in the back of a “ruger only” reloader’s head that somehow someday his reloads will find their way into a weaker firearm’s chamber.

A .500 S&W Lever Action Carbine is here....

I put out numerous want ads to find a rossi, and it still took almost a year to track one down.

My bolt wasn't closed all the way

I have too many stories to tell. Two involving trophy dall sheep. Another on a 60” + moose. Dont dwell on it, it happens to everyone.

    No muzzle device.

You might try a linear compensator.

    Got Scandi?

I like that little one on the bottom. Might just inspire me to finish the handle on that Helle blade I bought at the state fair 12 years ago lol.

    Milsurp Help

Hard to tell without a better picture, but it looks like a small ring mauser, so it’s probably not chambered in 8x57. It appears to be a cock on close action, so im thinking its a model 95? Does it have a “lockup” lug directly behind the bolt handle? What does the bolt race way look like, and is...

    What wood for copper wrangler?

Padauk, but to keep it red you’d have to re-finish it every few years.

Rifle Cartridge You Love for No Real Reason

300 H&H is just a cool one to hold in your hand. Weirdly long and tapered. A reloader can get nearly the same performance out of a 30-06, so its a tough cartridge to justify keeping in a collection. Man is it classy though.

Gutting / Gralloching / Whatever you call it

I sure like tying a constrictor knot around the anus from the outside whenever possible. Keeps everything clean. Never heard of intentionally puncturing the stomach. Sounds like terrible advise to me. Less care needs to be taken when be-heading. No poo or bile up there.

Small enough not to be a burden, and a very useful blade shape. I have processed several whole beeves with it in...

    180gr 30-06 on deer experience?

Ive only ever killed two black tails, but both were with a 30-06 using 180 grainers. One was at around 100 yards and it ran about 20 yards before collapsing. The other was at about 7 yards, it dropped where it stood. Unfortunately I was only 14 when i shot them, so I dont recall what make of...
