    New addition- CZ97B

The 97B has to be the softest shooting .45 out there. I've gotten CGW to do their "E" conversion and installed a stainless guide rod, extended thumb safety, and adjustable rear sight. Now it has a trigger very almost as good as my 1911s.

    CZ97.45 or Kimber 1911 ?

I have no experience with Kimber but I do have 1911s from Dan Wesson and ACW (semi custom). The 1911 platform is my favorite but I do love CZs. I have a P-01, Shadow 2, and a 97B. Right our of the box, I found the 97B a joy to shoot. It is very accurate and has to have the softest recoil of...

    Dillion 550???

I ordered my 550 set up for 9mm. Along with dies I got a deluxe quick assembly for each when I started loading .45 acp and .38 special. This assembly includes a toolhead, powder measure and a couple other things. It allows me to change calibers with very rarely needing to adjust the powder...

    A question for 1911 shooters

A lot of the 1911 builders are now machining off a corner on the slide stop lug that allows you to push the slide stop straight in. Much less risk of the idiot scratch or the need for a card, tape, etc.

CZ 97b - Are my jeans getting skinnier?

I bought my 97B last summer and was super impressed with it right out of the box. The gun is very accurate and the recoil is very tolerable for me and it's a blast to shoot. I sent it to CGW or their "E" conversion and added an extended thumb safety, adjustable rear sight, and a stainless...

    Magnum Small Pistol

I normally use CCI spp. Like most everybody, I'm having a hard time finding any. I have found a source for Federal magnum spp. Will these work in place of the regular spp? Thanks in advance for any help.

    Bullets for .38/.357

I've had the same experience with Bayou and Blue Bullets and I think their coatings are different. It is suggested that when you set up to load coated bullets to pull a couple and make sure the coated is not getting scraped off during seating or crimping. I've never had a problem.

    Bullets for .38/.357

I'll be using Dillon dies. So do you seat the bullet so that the cannelure is even with the case mouth? Or do you seat the bullet to meet the desired OAL and that puts the cannelure in the right place? I'm sure I'm making this more complicated than it is. I guess I should just wait until I...

    Bullets for .38/.357

I use a Dillon 550C and seat and crimp with two different dies. I started using two different dies when I switched to the 550 from my T-7 turrent press and RCBS dies. I'm pretty sure I've forgotten how to set up a die to seat and crimp in the same step. Setting up the Dillon seating die and...

    Bullets for .38/.357

I like the idea of using coated bullets. I'm getting my 9 and 45 bullets from Bayou Bullets. In looking at the Missouri website they list .38 and .357 bullets separately. Can't I use the same bullet for both? While I'm asking dumb questions, I'm a little nervous doing a roll crimp just...

    Bullets for .38/.357

I've been reloading a few years and my only experience has be in loading 9mm and .45acp for my semi autos. Recently I bought my first revolver and want to start loading .38 special and .357 mag. I have a bunch of brass for both that was given to me by a friend. I think I know what powders I...
