We know what George Patton thought of pearl “New Orleans pimp” grips. He liked real ivory. I like wood.

    Kibler range report

Well, the anti-Pyrodex crowd really is kind of a cult. I’ve used Pyro P for decades and burt a ton of that stuff and never had a problem, but nine days man, time to clean that gun.

Started out with the 8” but I’ve had one of those 5.5” .44 Pie-eddy’s since 2011. My boys each have one too. We love ours and you’re gonna feel the same way. Handy as all hell. Good score. Congrats.

Well yea, not Warren tier misrep. and I always liked Iron Eyes. He never did any harm and made tears in that good anti-litter commercial, too.

You might say he was protecting a career investment. He knew where his parents were from. He fit the part well from a ‘central-casting’ point of view and was theatrically convincing but he was also a bit of a fraud. Liz “Pocahontas” Warren comes to mind.

Not really. Cody was an Italian American. Playing an indigene was just his main gig.

I guess that one wolf is wearing a tracking device. What’s not to like about wolves - - unless you’re a rancher. Some coyotes here in the Coast Range of CA are yote / big dog hybrids. They get large and exhibit outbreeding enhancement or hybrid vigor, AKA heterosis. We have wolves in the NE...

Explosive power, 1 lb black powder

I know several farmers and agriculturalists who say that ever since Timmy lit up the Murrah (April ‘95) they are very careful not to buy too much fertilizer at any one time.

Dude, what are you even thinking? Bad choice. For another 37 bucks you can have a steel frame eight inch. Redo that order immediately.

    Pietta 1851 Navy Used Price

Got my Pietta .36 steel frame 1851 from Cabelas in 1996. Paid $149.99. Used a lot. Still runs great. I’d sell it for $600.00 if the buyer pays freight.

I have one of each; Piettas. Both shoot really well. If I could only have one I would go the 8” because 8” is as issued and historically correct (as Hawg said) and a fine piece. The 5.5” is very accurate, well balanced and eminently packable. Good for 100 yard shots. For the historically...

persistent rust in barrel after cleaning

Over the decades I have used many pounds of Pyrodex P and have never had a problem with rust. Would much rather use Swiss or T7 but it’s not always available around here. I also use hot water and clean at least by the night of the day of shooting. Coastal N. CA gets pretty wet in the cold...
