Precision Pistol Box (Pachmayr Range Box clone) overview

Traveled for years to pistol matches with one of those boxes. Still have it on the shelf and wonder if I could even lift it now with a full load out of tools, ammunition, parts box and all the other stuff I always put in there. It was one heavy SOB to carry.

    Guns hidden throughout the home

I only have 3 loaded in the house. At bed time all in reach of the bed in the morning the shotgun and long gun go into a vault the 3rd with me so I always have one within arms length. I'm disabled enough that i can't get across the room before a door could be kicked in so one in every room is...

    Extra ammo while carrying

I only carry reloads on weekdays that end in y. Now being serious I always have a minimum of 2 reloads no matter what I am carrying some times more like with a J-frame Smith then often 2 speed loaders and a couple of strips as well. I have never talked to some one that had to use his carry gun...

    Got My Old Gun Back

The GP's are great guns but I do have a deep love of pre-lock S&W's. If they were mine, I'd keep both use the GP a lot and use the S&W as a fun range toy.

    No More Glocks!

I own Glocks, I also carry Glock, but (to me at lest) it is just a tool. They are functional, easy to shoot, relatively easy to carry, and reliable but as alluring as a mud brick. When I chose to open my safe to show some of my guns unless specifically ask about the Glocks are not among them.

    Volleyfire S333 double barrel revolver?

Interesting. They give all kind of specs on the revolver but neglect to add weight of trigger pull and have a 2 finger trigger. Makes me wonder.

    .44 special/magnum vs. .45 Colt in popularity

well I don't have an answer, I've never been able to stick with just one of those calibers. I have rifles in 45 colt & 44mag as well as pistols. All the .44's are SA's but the .45 colts are both in SA's and DA's.

    Which Snubbie would you buy??

For pocket carry I'm with the S&W mod. 442/642 crowd. Light enough when loaded to be comfortable in pocket (in pocket holster of course) no problem with printing, especially since I put my small bill clip in front of it, it's small enough to cover any printing but doesn't sit hight enough to...

Buckmark, Victory or Ruger MK IV for a 22lr?

I'd go with the Ruger as well. If your daughter can grip it and she decided she likes shooting it can grow with her as her shooting abilities grow. It can be a fun shooter or modified to near anything including mid level bullseye match pistol. And they work well with red dot sights.

    Information help

Your cylinder proof mark is not English it is a Belgium mark. It is not a complete stamp but it looks closest to one that was used from 1896 to 1924 on revolvers.

    can anybody ID this?

I would imagine it did come with several cambers as I have 2 the one in the pistol and one in the cartridge collection, the hammer is on the right side of the lock so it seems easier to use the right hand. I can see a banker, a jeweler or any gentleman wishing for more than a walking stick for...
