The Shields in my state (MA) have horrendous 10 pound triggers. A stiff plastic trigger is not nice. I never loved any polymer /plastic guns. I've had a few including the Shield 9 . Today I have one plastic/polymer gun , a Glock, the company that started the whole "plastic fantastic" trend...

BG380. Yes the trigger sucks....but it is a deep concealment weapon meant for close up self defense only. Not a target pistol.

It is a traditional looking wood stocked beauty! A great companion gun if you have a 1911 ....the Camp 45 it takes 1911 45acp mags. The Camp 9mm takes ....S&W 5900/6900 series mags. The mags are plentiful still today. Sadly ,Marlin stopped making them in 1999 and used ones are pricey.

Pistol Caliber Carbines are very misunderstood. Every time I take mine to the range, people tell me "you can't hit anything at distance with a pistol round" and i show them how I continously ring the metal gong at 100 yards with iron sights!:D I then explain to them that the 16.5 inch barrel...

Ruger P 85/P89/P94/P95 are great bargains imo.............the 3rd gen S&W pistols are going up& up in price these days. They are 500-750 dollars now!

I had the previously mentioned beretta 25acp jetfire for almost 20 years, then got a seecamp 32acp, now I have the S&W M&P bodyguard 380acp. I like the little light ones. At least I keep going up in calibers I guess I have a history of carrying odd ball pocket pistols. who knew? Odd isnt it...

The 915 was only made from 1992-1994.

the 915 . made in 1992. all metal 3rd gen. "Value series" finished in the worst black krylon paint you could imagine, but it works great.

In Massachusetts currently I see mostly Glock and Sig 320's. The MA State Police carry S&W M&P 45's

One is proven and sold by the millions.......the other gets looked down upon. S&W Shield 9 and Bodyguard 380.

The 915. It is a "value series " 5904. all metal. only plastic being the grips, better than the polymer frame guns they make today.
