Like alot of people, I have two in the bedroom. On the nightstand is a S&W 640 pro series and under the bed is a Mossberg 12 gauge loaded with 00 buck.
I picked up a 8" AR500 round target and stand early this year. I liked it so much I have bought a 10" with a stand & a 7"x 12" that fits on a steel fence post. I have so much fun shooting them I am planning on getting more this winter. Are there any of you guys & dolls "shootin' steel"?
I want to thank all of you for your input. I've got to get a set of golf clubs sold, then I can get real serious about what the next step will be.You guys are the best!!!!
I will give you first crack at it. I have a few other things to work out. The press has a low reload count (around 4,500). I will PM you when I get things sorted out.
I been thinking about upgrading my Square Deal B to another 550 or maybe a 750. The only problem is I don"t know how much I should ask for my SDB. The press is around 4 years old. It has three quick change setups, a 38/357 mag, 45 ACP & 9 mm. I still have the original box & paper work. What do...
Mine is a little "newer". It has been worked over by the late Denny Reichard and is as smooth as snot on a brass door knob!!! I think of him when I shoot it. Like others have said, it puts a smile on my face. No amount of money could buy it.
I have a CZ with a short chamber. I found some 135 grain coated bullets made by SNS Casting and they work perfectly. They have been re-designed to fit in short lead barrels. I can load them to a OAL of 1.150 and everyone of them pass the plunk test.
Don't forget to look at a CZ. Everyone that shoots mine is crazy about the way they feel in your hands and they are very accurate. They are very similar to a BHP. The 1911 (esp. Colt) are excellent choices also. MedWheeler has good advice also.
I can tell you one thing, one press won't be enough !!! When you go down the "reloading rabbit-hole" there will always be something else !!!! All kidding aside, it's a whole lot of fun !!
I chose a Stoner Stormer Vertical shoulder rig. When drawing the pistol, the holster swivels horizontal and returns to vertical for easy reholstering. They use a very good grade of leather and it is a little thicker than most other brands. It also fastens to your belt on both sides to spread the...
I have no interest in: AR's, .22's of any kind and those Rhino pistols. They are "butt ugly"!!!!! I'm not interested in Glocks or single action revolvers either.
Is a tumbler mandatory, no. I reloaded for a couple years without one. But when I did finally get one, seeing that shiny brass is terrific. Also it helps in the reloading process. It's easier on the dies.
