    Quality Sub $500 Handguns

Ruger SR9 or SR40, or the "C" models of each. (compact). Walther Creed 9mm. Taurus G2 Millennium in 9mm or 40 S&W. Smith and Wesson SD9VE or SD40VE but gotta add $50 for the Apex tactical trigger and trigger spring kit, still well under $500.

If you could have only one handgun, what would you choose?

ONE HANDGUN !!?? Wow, tough one. My 5 1/2 inch Ruger Redhawk in .41 magnum with gold bead front sight and "V" notch rear sight.

    BUYING 10mm Ammo

Was reading just this weekend that except for special FBI "tactical" teams, that use full power 10mm loads, the rest of the FBI teams that still DO use the 10mm, are loaded down to .40 S&W ballistics. Most of the "everyday" FBI personnel have switched to the 9mm. Capacity and recoil/follow-up...

    BUYING 10mm Ammo

Usually the last step when ordering online is "order review" before you make your final "place order" click. If on the order review page, it's actually letting you buy individual boxes at that price of $12.71 per box, you're golden, DEPENDING, on the shipping charges, be sure to review that...

    40 cal brass question.

Would highly agree, if it's only a small handful out of 1000, I don't think I'd even bother with them. I also agree, a likely fail is imminent. Maybe not on the first reloading but most likely 2nd or 3rd. I DO understand your curiosity about the origins of a case being bulges like that though...

    BUYING 10mm Ammo

Unless I'm reading it wrong, the attachment, 12.71 per box of 50, 1000 bullets, adds up to 254.20 plus I'm assuming a shipping charge. 12.71 is a great price per box but ya g My bad, it looked to me on the attachment that that price was only for 1000 rounds at a time. Heck, if it let's you buy...

    BUYING 10mm Ammo

I sent targetsportsusa, not the eaglerock. Looking at that though, it's $12.71 per box only if you buy 1000 rounds.

    BUYING 10mm Ammo

Yeah, I've shot quite a bit of S&B ammo in 9mm, 40S&W, and 45acp, no complaints and the brass reloads and lasts well, and seems very consistent in my experience.

    BUYING 10mm Ammo

Haven't been on the site in a while, out of curiosity, since I have no idea what 10mm ammo costs, I see the current cheapest 10mm ammo they show is MagTech. $14.99/box of 50.

    BUYING 10mm Ammo

I don't have a 10mm but I have bought lots of factory ammo from www.targetsportsusa.com. In bulk, free shipping, otherwise a flat $15 shipping charge. If you buy say 6 or more boxes at a time the prices are really good. I personally just search the ammo caliber by price per round. Hope you find...

    40 cal brass question.

Huh, didn't think of that, pretty rare caliber but you may have hit the nail on the head. That sure does look like more than a sloppy chamber. Good thinkin bud.

    40 cal brass question.

Wow, assuming this is range/purchased, once fired brass? I've also run into this, with 9mm, 40S&W, and 45acp brass. There's individuals out there with guns that have some REAL bad problems.

Strangely enough, Venturino's experience happened with a 9mm. I could see it more feasible to happen with a 10mm or a 45acp but like you say, maybe the bullet didn't necessarily methodically creep into the case in the clip, but hit the feed ramp awkwardly, compounded say with a thin walled case...

Thank you. Yes, I did read that, first thing, when I bought my Lee taper crimp dies. It's not necessarily to actually "crimp" the bullet, but straighten the case mouth because semi's "headspace" on the case mouth not on the rim or the case shoulder. But in the whole front section of the Lyman...

It would appear I've still got some long term habits and loading techniques to change and update from decades of loading for wheel guns. Glad I joined and met all you guys, I've already learned a lot. Each and every one of ya has learnt me something. Tomorrow my first batch of plated bullets...
