Non-lethal options for those who are legally disabled.

Thank you for that reply. You answered the question at least i was attempting to ask. So thank you. In Texas, for the purpose of Tresspass, you CAN legally display your gun to show that you will use it if the justificstion for use becomes necessary. You cant point it at them, and you cant...

Non-lethal options for those who are legally disabled.

I think the question pretty much speaks for itself. You know better thrn I, that lethal dorce is not allowed in every instance while non-lethal force can be used. Such as one example Tresspass in the state of Texas. (maybe other places too). Firearms are perfect for disabled people when deadly...

Non-lethal options for those who are legally disabled.

If your being assualted thats a different story. Deadly force usually will be an accepted form of force then. Especially for disabled folk. Simple tresspass it wont be.

    CT non-resident LTC/CHL

After applying for so far a total of 6 CHL/LTC’s and checking out the possibility of 5 others. I can tell you for all costs involved it seems to me that the average cost for a CHL/LTC runs between $100-$200 average. For Texas I spent $40 for the application fee, $15 for fingerprints, and $85...

Which makes even less sense, I can carry my rifle to shoot deer, or hog, or a shotgun to shoot quail or pheasant or dove, but I can’t carry a handgun? Go figure... but then again most (not all) anti gun laws that anti gunners want passed don’t make that much logical sense anyways.

Non-lethal options for those who are legally disabled.

I do think in most instances where an able body person might not get away with using deadly force, someone who is disabled and in a wheel chair would probably be given extra leeway in using deadly force. I know if I was on a jury, that fact would definitely come into play in my decision of legal...

Non-lethal options for those who are legally disabled.

Absolutely not... but in every state, there are times where the use of deadly force would be illegal, while the use of non-lethal force would be allowed. Most states will view the use of a firearm as lethal deadly force. Sometimes,we even showing your weapon other open carry still in holster...

Non-lethal options for those who are legally disabled.

The thing is, in most jurisdictions that I am aware of, using having or showing a firearm is considered use of deadly force. There are some exceptions to the rule. Texas, you can show your weapon and it not be considered use of deadly force, BUT only if certain conditions are met. It isn’t...

Less Lethal Shotgun rounds against humans/animals yea or nay?

I would agree on humans. We humans are a litigious bunch. So even if it was was a justified legal shooting with deadly force allowed, we would probably be sued for using less lethal versus the real thing. I’m like everyone else though, if it’s a justified shooting, I want the real thing. Some...

Non-lethal options for those who are legally disabled.

In many if not most all states, the laws specify a distinction between using non-lethal or non-deadly force and using deadly or lethal force. As I understand barring some exceptions, firearm use is almost if not always considered to be the use of deadly or lethal force. Using your fists by...

Less Lethal Shotgun rounds against humans/animals yea or nay?

Less lethal shotgun rounds, all gauges, using rubber balls, “bean” bags, rock salt, etc.. use against humans or animals for self defense, or even for nuisance small animal control. Yea or nay and why? For any lawyers who wish to chime in, if you would like to give a legal point of view it would...

    CT non-resident LTC/CHL

NY isnt the only state that doesnt allow you to carry in a state park. Maine which is a constitutional carry state wont even let you carry in state parks without a LTC/CHL. I never understoon the reasoning behind not carrying in any state park. Thats the one place i MOST want to carry. I have...

Your absolutely right, with all the anti-gunners out there any major positive pro-gun law to be enacted will take an act of god. For the most part your right about not followinf Federal gun laws. NY flagrantly disregard FOPA on a regular basis. They may not ever convict someone. But they arrest...

Having been a medic and seen the tests, i believe even one drink impairs you. Maybe not legally impaired to become illegal to drive or carry but still impaired none the less. I wont carry at all if i am going to drink or have had a drink. I did not realize you could drink. I did know about the...

    CT non-resident LTC/CHL

Provided you can get a LTC/CHL. That’s the hard part. Although in all honesty, for both CA and NY. Since both of those your CHL is decided by your local police or Sheriff. For some it in those two states can be easy depending on your local sheriff. I know someone who lives outside Buffalo NY...

Sure in their state they will control when and where you can carry. That’s no different then now. They can’t control when where and how you carry in another state. Even Texas is different then Florida. We can open carry in Texas, where in Florida you can not. However, in Texas, we can’t drink...

My bad ill go back and correct, i though it was 39. (corrected post, thanks!) Sadly they wont, because of many reasons but our Supreme court could benefit the nation if they would juat accept a few casses and finally make a ruling a decesion one way or the other good or bad on several gun...

I dont disagree that tonpass any pro gun law on a national level is difficult to impossible. To pass any controversial law on a national basis is difficult. Gun related or not. Our congress wont work together on issues that matter. BS issues that dont really matter but to a few they can get...

Not necessarily. The current bill pending for reciprocity simply states that all states must recognize another states LTC/CHL. So NY would not be able to mandate tthe requirements Texas has to obtain a LTC. No different then a DL.
