    Springfield EMP.

I shot one today, and wanted to know what y'all thought about them. I only got to put 2 or 3 mags through it, so I really didn't get a good picture of it.

What's the oldest gun you own ?

1870s or 80s St. Etienne SxS 16 bore underlever hammer shotgun on a LeFacheaux(sp?) action, with re-blued Damascus barrels. It's on face and the locks are in good condition. I got it for a song because the stock is cracked at the wrist and the previously mentioned re-blueing. It is a gorgeous peice.

If you were 5 ft under water, which would you rather be shot at with?

not to point out the obvious, but that argument fails when you get to different types of guns in the same caliber. A 1911 and and AR with a .45 upper do very different things.

This is the HIGH ROAD isn't it????????

I still do not equate the healthy skepticism and criticism on this forum as anti-LE.

This is the HIGH ROAD isn't it????????

I pretty much take it for granted that everyone here is pro-RKBA. Beyond that, however, it seems all bets are off politically. As far as what I said about civility, I meant that there are less personal attacks and insults thrown around here than in other forums.

This is the HIGH ROAD isn't it????????

I think "The High Road" refers more to attitude than political ideology. Discourse is much more civil here than many other forums.

How do you decide whether to keep it?

I have several late 19th century shotguns that I can not shoot, but would not sell.

    Who are you?

It took 57 posts to quote the prisoner, I'm a little bid disappointed.

This is the HIGH ROAD isn't it????????

I don't mean any insult by this, but I think that LEO's have to deal with so much rabidly anti LEO crap on a daily basis, from songs about shooting them to biased stories in the news to bad attitudes from the people that they actually deal with, that they mistake a lot of forum members...

Michael Moore still doesn't have a clue

I think MM is the EXACT and equally obnoxious opposite of such people as Rush or Savage. All of the vocal extremes kind of get my goat.

OAKLAND CA: Councilman wants to try gunshot-locator system

To reaffirm what tegemu said. Oakland sucks right now, I'm glad that the politician's response is not to just try to take my guns ala San Francisco.

American Hunters and Shooters Assn is ANTI-GUN

Not all jews keep kosher, though. Just because he is jewish does not necessarily exclude him from hunting.

American Hunters and Shooters Assn is ANTI-GUN

Jews are forbidden from hunting? Where did that come from?

A photo for the sophisticated gun lover

I love the stuff, its like drinking a campfire. I've given some to friends and their reactions were less than positive. Rumor has it that it was allowed to be imported during prohibition for medicinal use because no one could fathom how it could be drunk for pleasure.

A photo for the sophisticated gun lover

Islay's not for everyone. Laphroaig is for the masochistic few. With that said, I just finished a bottle of Bowmore 17 and liked it a lot. I also really like the Campbeltown region. Springbank 10 is awesome.

Senate blocks changes to Patriot Act deal
