I've owned and enjoyed several Ruger revolvers over the years. Right now I have a 4" Security Six .357, a .22 cal. Single Six and this Bisley Black Hawk .45 Colt. Had it overhauled by Dave Clements who worked his magic on it. He cut the barrel back to 5 1/2" and installed a set of SK Custom...
There's an awful lot of beautiful 1911's here.
This is my Colt Combat Commander. We've been together for a while now. Its made a few trips with me to some bad places, never let me down.
That is a beautiful old Colt. I have a model 1917 in .45 acp (would much rather it had been in .45 Colt). Mine was a bit too beat up looking to leave as is, so I had it reparkerized. I love shooting it, its a really accurate old handgun.
I've bought and shot a lot of 240 gr SWC .44 magnum from Georgia Arms for $25/50 rds. I get just over 1030 fps from my 4" 629 using those loads, and they've proven to be very reliable and accurate from my gun. Of course, Georgia Arms is pretty much shutdown right now. Hope things get back to...
Never much cared for compact pistols, but I do have a Bulgarian Mak and a Mauser Hsc ..380 that I like. If I were to buy a compact for regular carry, it would probably be a Glock 43X.
I have a 6 1/2" S&W model 624 that I really love; one of my most accurate revolvers. I've thought several times about having the barrel shortened to 4" just to make it a bit easier to carry. Always decide to keep it at is. I have carry guns, this one is too special to monkey with!!
I have a little Beretta model 70S I've carried a few times, It conceals easy and is small/light enough to easily conceal when wearing shorts/tshirt while mowing. If I have to run out to get gas for the mower or something, I'll take it with me. Its extremely reliable, as accurate as some of my...
I bought this S&W model 651 new back in 1985. A bit more power/range than a .22LR and a whole lot louder. Been a lot of years since I've fired it without ear protection. Its proven to be an accurate little gun; handy when out hiking.
Our local Academy is having a big sale. Bought 200 rounds of Federal 9mm, .40S&W and .45 acp yesterday; along with 1000 rds of .22LR CCI mini-mags. Soon as the weather clears (and I get the yard mowed) I'll be heading to the range. They had plenty more on the shelves after I was done. May go...
If you don't care to reload, you may want to check out georgia-arms.com. Their revolver ammo is very reasonably priced, reliability and accuracy are excellent. And, cleanup is not a mess.
Having never shot anything larger (at the time) than a whitetail, I was surprised when my Wife and I vacationed in Wyoming back in July 1976. We spent a week in the town of Dubois and another in Cody; got to meet and know a number of folks in both towns. We always talked of hunting, and...
