When you have all current editions.
And all past editions of every loading Manual ever written.
Of course when a new edition comes out. Then you don't have enough.
Since you have a single shot, there won't be any need to buy Hornady ammo. Their cases are shorter then trim to length. That's to fit the specialty bullets they make for Lever Action Rifle Magazines.
It'll just mess you up.
I cast a Lyman #457193 out of COWW over IMR3031 or IMR4198.
Works...
Did you decide what to get yet?
I'm interested for a number of reasons;
I always want the backstory, for instance, what is an S7 ? And things like color of holster, bbl length, caliber. Do you want cartridge loops ? And how many? And if you get cartridge loops, I'd suggest Nickel-Plated...
Sorry Guys,
I screwed up again.
The figures I gave earlier were Wrong.
Those bore dia & chambers mouths measurements were for My Right Hand Colt SAA in .44Spl.
The measurements for my old SRH are as follows;
Bore .429, Chambers .429-.430, I size .430 for 16bhn.
Which I drive Lyman #429421 -...
I have a pair of RCBS priming tools buried somewhere in my garage, a STD priming tool and an Auto Priming tool that takes awhat is now a std RCBS priming tube.
And then the Hand Priming Tool came out. And then the one with the Primer Tray feed.
Still use both.
I have a old SRH from the first batch, it's bore slugs out at .431dia, the chamber mouths run .4295 - .430dia, I push my Ideal #429244GC with a full charge of 2400. PC'd and sized they end up .431dia
No leading at all, you can increase bullet diameter by .001 with a coat of PC.
You definitely got a poor response from Hornady.
I don't agree that Hornady makes the cheapest seating die on the market.
I think that title belongs to lee.
I've reshaped/polished more then one seating stem, from more then one different manufacturer.
I've used some candle wax to...
Before you buy a gunbelt, figure out the size of the belt loop on your holster.
First Fancy Holster I ever made for Myself, I sized it off the jean belt I was wearing at the time.
A 1 3/4" loop Does Not work with a 2 1/4" GunBelt.
If the belt is not lined you can force a 2 1/2" into a 2 1/4"...
I was told when I was a Kid in the 1960's that the original German loading prior to World War one was the 124gr Conical Nose bullet.
The Brits complained that this created "Horrible Grevious" Wounds. So the Germans switched to a 124gr RN.
Every P-08 and P-38 I shot as a Kid hit to POA/POI at...
Not for every day use, and not unless the Revolver and the Shooter are up to it.
That Load of 2.7grs bullseye under a Factory Swaged HBWC is a great load. I used to be able to tell the difference using my old K-38.
These days, between the arthritis and failing eyesight. I'm luck if I can keep...
I've always either Neck-Sized or Partial-Sized.
I think it improves accuracy a bit and will definitely extend case life.
In particular on Rimmed Bottleneck cases. I have had great luck in neck-sizing .303Brit & .30-30, cases last along time.
Depends on if you're roll crimping or taper crimping.
If roll crimping, only enough to turn the mouth of the case into the groove. So you can't feel it when you slide your thumbnail down the side of the bullet and not feel the mouth of the case. If that doesn't hold your bullet in under...
I too have right shoulder problems. I sit at a 45 degree angle to the press, sliding my hand up and down the handle as needed to apply only the needed force.
I size/decap cases on my RockChucker first and hand primer left-handed while watching TV. Since I also have Tennis Elbow in my Right Arm...
