    Working Man Revolver

I've often considered a new 586 for the same reasons..

    Working Man Revolver

Give me one with a 3" barrel in a holster at 4:00 and i'll be set. Maybe toss a slim set of grips on it to hide the profile if you need to conceal.

    Is my powder bad??

Does the inside of the can appear to have a little surface rust? I've seen that on some older stuff. The powder was fine for the moderate target loads I was making.

    Six Shot Giggle Machine

I've got a 4.whatever" RR & it is an absolute giggle generator!! Something about that click-smack with shorts is just too fun! If only shorts were cheaper..

Mosin 91 bolt cracked and busted

You ever tried removing a barrel from an old Mosin?? Royal pain in the arse!! :cuss: I've seen a few twisted recievers from that..:uhoh:

    Your First Love

Here's my first love. Bought her for $200 shortly after I turned 21.. She's officially retired from regular shooting duties now, but I still plan to run the occasional wheel or two through her..

    .38 Tumblers

Very interesting thread. I bet in 357 they'd make for a viable deer bullet inside of 20 yds..

Chopping a classic: can it ever be justified

It definitely depends.. I had a 30-40 Krag rifle that was beat to hell and back, pitted externals and the barrel had a bend in it about 6" back form the muzzle, but the bore was still good. Had the barrel shortened, replaced the front post and rear sight assemblies with custom modified Skinner...

    2400 and 10mm?

What is your main gun you'd be loading for?? If it's an auto, results may be not be as desired. If it's a revolver then you can work around that some.

I couldn't stand it any longer...(long and boring)

Now there's an awful nice piece. Just curious.. Do you suppose you'll end up with a pile of Skeeter loads for that 624?

    Chilly Morning

Greetings from a chilly WI deer stand! It's about 22°F out. Thanks to Covid I had to break the old M66 out of retirement for one final deer season. Hopefully the Blackhawk will dialed in for some 'proper' loads next year..

    Reasonably Priced 12 Ga

    Reasonably Priced 12 Ga

I bought it used and have probably 8000 rnds through it. I knew it was heavily used when I bought it but wanted the 3.5in chamber for turkey, coyotes and someday waterfowl.

    Reasonably Priced 12 Ga

Eau Claire is just over a half hour drive from my front door. I've got a small local store that I prefer to go to though.

    Reasonably Priced 12 Ga

Yeah. A little more broad with it. Several members of our family and fall hunting group will get to lget The occasional outing is what i'm more into. And I think what we do is possibly more like trap shooting but it gets called skeet shooting pretty regular. A group of our friends and some...

    Reasonably Priced 12 Ga

Hey all, it's been a while since i've been on THR, but i'm looking for a reasonably priced 12 ga for the occasional weekend skeet shooting. I'm not looking for anything fancy. Probably won't shoot more than 1500 rounds a year. Most likely less that 1000. My first thoughts were either a Maverick...

Is this a thing with 357 in Revolvers?

Ok. I gotta ask.. How does that 586 shoot? She's awful purdy! Hopefully she shoots as good as she looks.
