I found Yugoslav steel cased ammo for a decent price. It was made in the seventies. Same questions asked then as now. It looked good and shot good in my Yugoslav Mauser 24/47. It was a lot of fun. But these warnings of anything older have me being cautious. Eighty years old and looking...
I only have some qual cart. You guys, what of soft jacket bullets in .446 they won’t melt. Expensive but not harmful to the rifling. An easy fix. But will they perform?
I appreciate the info about bullets that fill the bore, but how do you push them into the case. I’ve never had a PP bullet that didn’t bunch up on top of case. I used a .439 bullet, 2 wraps of .0025 paper.
I have a 43 Mauser 1871 I want to shoot bp in. What bullet do I shoot. It has .454 grooves and .433 lands. Do I need to fill the barrel with the bullet? Or can I shoot .446. Hawk bullets because they are jacketed.
It’s a special problem to be sure. I could PP but to what diameter? Or...

This rifle has a .454 groove and a .433 lands. It’s a pristine bore. But for the life of me, I can’t figure out what bullet to use. Either it’s going to be too big for the case or too small to fill the bore. That in cludes paper patching.
OK do you want me to PP and not fill the bore? Or...
what happens when you re form it to that different size. Is it malleable or does it bind or anything? I want to change 303 British in a fairly big way. Did you have any problem?
Winchester LRP for standard and magnum loads are ok for everything. If you are being safe and reducing by 10% they should be ok especially in a large capacity case. If LPPM are ok why not. This is a time of experimentation unless you want to quit shooting. So try a few and check for...
