    Ruger mk2 vs mk4?

Couple days ago my brother came over to help me prepare to move. While there he figured he would grab some of the guns left to us from our late Dad. I do have the majority (90%) so I didn't have a problem with that. He did take the Ruger Mk2 target 7 in., one of my favorites. My question is...

What was your first marksmanship badge of honor? .....

Might not have been my first award but it's my favorite. When I was 12 or thirteen our club was having the annual Turkey Shoot. The object in the pistol comp was to hit a hanging clay bird at 25 yards. Any pistol was allowed. You hit you move on you miss your out. I had no pistol experience at...

AR 15s in calibers other than 5.56 NATO

My first AR was a 7.62x39 and still my favorite. Next was 450 BM, Great knockdown range not so great. I think a lot depends on what your going to use it for. If you want a fun caliber that blows stuff up better than a 223, either of these will work. The 450 ammo is costly, even reloading it...

Reasons we find to not buy some firearms, not to include brand

My biggest reason is MY SAFE IS FULL! I don't like to sell them once I have'm. I wouldn't buy an AR with a collapsible stock, hate how rickety they feel. I don't like plastic stocks on rifles give me wood anyway (yes I have a few that I love).

What do have waiting for you in the reloading room?

I have a 1000 450 BM cases, bullets, & primers along with 4lbs of Lil gun. Oh boy, sad thing is it cost the same for the components as it would to buy the loaded ammo in almost any state but CA.

What one rifle for home or farm protection and hunting would you pick.

Of what I own, it would have to be my AR in 7.62 x 39. Seems to work for everything except long range.

    Shoot your Safe Queen Club

I have 2 SQ's, my dad bought them while ago. A NM M1 and NRA commerative Gold Cup, I was about to shoot the Gold Cup, then my buddy decided to part with his, so that queen remained a virgin. I did some research on the M1, Springfield Armory was manufacturing brand new M1s with cast receivers (I...

    Another scope going back.

Having waited for 10 months for a replacement on this scope, I remind myself I only waited a couple weeks for the other one. I have been using Leupold scopes for 50 years. One negative experience ain't bad In all those years. I have had plenty of other scopes fail, I won't name brands. They were...
