    Classic Combo Gun

The ultimate woods bumming guns! I want a 22lr over 20g but I am not sure they exist around here. Almost picked up the new model 42 but I am holding out. Excellent rifle!

This forum is awesome! Thank you for all the replies. As far as the recommendations for a 20g, I appreciate the insight, I do have a 20 as well as multiple 12's. I am looking for a sub gauge gun to tote around for fun on days that I don't feel the need to seriously hunt. Some days, bumming...

Thanks for all of the replies! I'd like to keep it under 2k, but could stretch it to 2.5k if it makes a worthwile difference. As far as 410 vs 28g, how is steel ammo availability? Awesome shot with a handgun! I have seen more rabbits this year then the past few, unfortunately, I can't find rifle/handgun hunting area, it is all shotgun only for me. The crockpot doesn't seem to mind! Have you tried Shaw's hare stew recipe yet???

    Upland .410

Hey y'all, I am in the market for a new scattergun. Mainly hunt dove and quail, but would love to get into squirrel hunting soon. Anyway, does anyone have a SxS 410 that they can recommend? I currently hunt with a 12g 870 and I want to ditch the extra weight! Thanks in advance and shoot...

243 for big game at 300-350 yards?

Barnes! Or any other monolithic bullet. I definitely think a 243 is capable of thin skinned game at those ranges, the barnes bullets retain basically 100% of their weight and punch higher than their weight class. Best thing to do is load up a batch, and see how far you can reliably hit a 6in...
