Obviously this is not an everyday occurrence. From the videos I’ve seen, if you really thought you would have to defend against a big cat, you better open carrying your most familiar carry pistol. One that you regularly practice quick draw and shoot. I would probably choose a G19.
A member here once told me that Enforcer is a forgiving version of H110. (We were talking 44MAG at the time). Supposedly Enforcer can get the same velocity but also can be downloaded more and is more forgiving. Last I checked it was WAY cheaper too. I haven’t looked lately though.
I see it at Midway and Target Sports but the price is not so good. When Academy or Bass Pro has it, it’s not really a great price. I’m seeing it regularly but it’s not worth the price.
Bottles on the way. What I’m hearing so far is y’all are oiling very little. 👍 I was oiling the correct places but volume and migration was my problem.
I assume you treat this like a camp fire and process the lead out in the open, letting fumes blow away from you? I tried it once in a shop. I’ll never do that again. 🙂
I keep oiling less and less but still end up with oil around the firing pin. Glock states to assemble firing pin and other slide parts dry. (which I do assemble the slide dry, only oil the rails and barrel OD)
How dry do you run your Glocks? I’m considering testing with almost no oil. (almost🙂)
Here is an old partial list of what the FIB approved in 9mm. Only one 115gr load on the list and it’s solid copper. Most law enforcement uses 124 or 147gr. Will it really matter in any given situation? Probably not but I’d pick something off the list and not worry about it.
Glock classifies their sporting holsters as small and large. The 45GAPs all use the large holster, along with the 10MMs and 45ACPs. The slide width on the 45ACP and 45GAP are both 1.12”
You have a point about the gen5 40S&W guns though. Depending on the holster design, it could be a perfect fit.
I appreciate quality tools but that could be done SO much cheaper and compact. Like an indicator with bushing attached so the plunger only protrudes .030" or so. Zero with anything flat then put the case directly to the indicator.
Calling Lee to sell one for $60 tops. (of course I"m thinking of...
The only way to get over all of the negative feelings about stock Glock triggers is to shoot nothing but stock Glock triggers. Preferably for a year or two.
There is the new Glock performance trigger for the gen5 you could try. Idk how much better it really is though. Or an aftermarket trigger.
