Been agonizing over this for a while. Looking to get a new carry gun. Want a .45 or maybe a .357 revolver or... Anyway, I like the 1911 pattern pistol. Like the XD too. I had a 9mm that I sold a while ago. No problems I was just in a gun of the month phase and bought a sold a lot of pistols...
I see these from time to on the auction sights.
Are these a decent revolver?
I would like to get a revolver for CCW but I would prefer a 6 shot over a 5. I know that Smiths and Ruger rule the but I'm looking at other ones.
What about service and parts will CZ-USA service these revolvers?
I'm pulling this from another thread so as to not hi-jack that one.
Is this true? Are they still being produced? But for the LEO sales only?
I see them on the auction boards from time to time. It looks like a single stack version of the 6906 I once had. That I regret selling.
Just more or...
I have the Lee 4 die set for .45 and 9mm.
When I first started to reload I used the factory crimp die as the finial step.
I decided to adjust the seating die so that it would crimp the bullet and save me a step in my reloading process. I have reloaded and shot about 200 rounds of .45 now...
I just bought a bunch of Berry's plated 124 gn 9mm.
Looking at my reloading book (Lee's) It lists loads for 125 grain unique but not 124 grain. Can I use the 125 grain starting loads? Doesn't seem to me that there could be that much difference in loads for 1 less grain of bullet weight. But I...
Anybody know how to remove the trigger plunger and spring assembly from the frame of a P89? There is a pin on the the outside of the frame that holds it in place. But it does not look like a roll pin.
I have my P89 almost completely detail striped. The only thing I don't have off the frame is...
I know at some point I'll buy a turret or progressive press. But since I have been reloading for less then a year now. I really like the single stage.
I have the Lee press that came with the reloading book. I have since bought a the Lee auto disk power measure. I like the fact that all of my...
I have fairly new CD hi-power lees then 500 rounds through it.
Last range trip I had a few FTEs where the extractor would not hook the case then the next live round would then slam into the empty case still in the chamber. It only happened a few times. When I cleaned it I made sure the the...
I'm looking at replacing the guide rod and recoil spring on my well used P89. Brownells has 2 assembly's:
V22000100 780-001-107 Guide Rod/Recoil Spring Assembly
and
V02000100 780-001-055 Guide Rod/Recoil Spring Assembly, w/o Tip
Just not sure which one to get.
I have been looking at either the uniflow, Lee perfect powder measure or the Lee auto disk. I'm using flake and ball powder. (unique and accurate #5 and 7) From reading other threads it seems that the perfect powder measure works best with stick powders. So my questions are:
1 will the...
Looking for a good IWB holster for a P95 I should be getting in the next few days. I have a few generic Uncle mikes that will work ok. But I had trouble with a P89 I had using the generic ones. The mag release would catch when I would draw the gun.
Loaded 100 rounds of 230 grain Rainer plated bullets with. .5cc of unique. If I remember correctly that supposed to equate to 5.1 grains. (don't have the conversion chart in front of me) Took the load data right out of the Lee load book. (according to the book this is the max load for it) The...
I have a XD service 9mm and a 1911 Officers model. I carry both but tend to carry the 1911 more. After carrying for almost a year I'm starting read more tactical books, most books stress that what/how you train is how you will react in a SD situation. I'm starting to worry that the slight...
Looking on the Auction sites I'm seeing a lot of 4 inch 357 revolvers, at a fairly good price. So my question is it possible to CCW a 4 inch revolver say a Ruger Security Six?
How many rounds can a quality revolver fire before it is out of time, or needs some attention? Or is just plain shot out? A good auto loader is in the 20,000 round range.
I ask about quality guns (Ruger, S&W etc) because it seems when a thread about low end wheel guns, gets going...
What if you were cleaning out the attic of a recently passed away uncle or grandfather. And you found a war trophy say a German MP-40 or a Thomson 45.
Or an full auto AK-47 for that matter.
Would there be anyway legally own it? Could you register it with the BATF? Or would they take it and...
