If you have the box the numbers circled are what is stamped on mine. Probably means 23 Oct 2011 but the EF is stamped on my barrel.

I bought a 5k brick of brass colored Ginex and have used them in revolver loads for .357 loaded to medium level in .357 Starline brass. They have worked as well as any other primer i have ever used! They might have taken a little more force to seat them using my Dillon 550 but it wasn’t like it...

My experience is that unless you use Nobel Sport or Fiocchi you are pretty much out of luck but some hulls can work with Cheddite. Federal, Winchester, or CCI are too loose or fall out at the first chance. Those foreign primers usually measure .243-.245 in diameter.

My 4.25 barrel length Python chambers and bore are definitely tighter than my 6” 686. Extraction isn’t what i would call hard, just more drag when ejecting them especially when the chambers are a little dirty from shooting. The primers are almost always flatter than the same load in the 686...

Hammer type bullet puller and a couple of whacks will bring it back to the right length. Then shoot for practice!

I guess having bought 2,000 from Starline i should be in good shape. I do have to feed 3 guns and shoot them all quite a lot. Most of my brass doesn’t even hit the ground except for some from my Marlin 1894. I have lost quite a few over the years to splits, but so far none of the Starline...

Early April new Starline .357 Magnum brass was a little over .18 cents each if you bought 1,000. More expensive for 500 of course. Seems like you can’t order any now though. Who knows how long it will be before you could order any.
