    Vihtavuori & Vectan powders identical?

That is kind of weird since Vectan is supposed to be manufactured in France and Vihtavuori in Finland. I guess nothing is impossible these days though!

    Ginex SPP hardness?

I have the brass colored ones and loaded 100 test rounds for my .357 Python, which has had a few light strikes on other than Federal, and didn’t have a single one that didn’t go off the first time shooting double action. I am happy with them in all my pistols. They are harder to seat fully...

    Hp38 barrel fouling 45 acp

This is my solution to hard fowling be it lead or carbon in my .45. Copper chore boy wrapped around brass brush makes short work of either one.

Comment by 'Rat-Man' in album 'RMR 147 grain .357 Smiley Bullets'

That bullet on the left is one of the Zero brand 158 grain FN SP. i am not sure the minimum speed for expansion. I don’t think i have ever seen anything in print about it’s specifications. I have never shot anything but paper with them so have no idea about what their real world performance...

    Ginex primers

I bought a 5k brick of brass colored Ginex and have used them in revolver loads for .357 loaded to medium level in .357 Starline brass. They have worked as well as any other primer i have ever used! They might have taken a little more force to seat them using my Dillon 550 but it wasn’t like it...

What is the last gun that you bought?

I always thought a Citori was a good looking shotgun. This one caught my eye and was one of few CXT’s available in the country lately. Bought it on the 4th of July but it took a while to get it because my local FFL was closed for a while for a vacation.

    Rio hulls

My experience is that unless you use Nobel Sport or Fiocchi you are pretty much out of luck but some hulls can work with Cheddite. Federal, Winchester, or CCI are too loose or fall out at the first chance. Those foreign primers usually measure .243-.245 in diameter.

    New Colt Python 6" Loads

My 4.25 barrel length Python chambers and bore are definitely tighter than my 6” 686. Extraction isn’t what i would call hard, just more drag when ejecting them especially when the chambers are a little dirty from shooting. The primers are almost always flatter than the same load in the 686...

Is this safe to shoot in your opinion?

Figured you probably already had one since you posted in the Handloading and Reloading section. Not a good idea to shoot that unless its the same length as the undamaged ones.

Is this safe to shoot in your opinion?

Hammer type bullet puller and a couple of whacks will bring it back to the right length. Then shoot for practice!

    Reloading Tracers

I had some pulled tracer bullets for .223/5.56 when i shot some of them from my AR only some would light up. What was really odd was that firing them from my .223 bolt rifle they were almost 100% lighting. I thought maybe the flash hider was the difference. It seems like i read that they...

    .357 Magnum Brass

I guess having bought 2,000 from Starline i should be in good shape. I do have to feed 3 guns and shoot them all quite a lot. Most of my brass doesn’t even hit the ground except for some from my Marlin 1894. I have lost quite a few over the years to splits, but so far none of the Starline...

    .357 Magnum Brass

Early April new Starline .357 Magnum brass was a little over .18 cents each if you bought 1,000. More expensive for 500 of course. Seems like you can’t order any now though. Who knows how long it will be before you could order any.
