I was shooting off hand five shot groups from 4 yards. Nothing too scientific but the grouping was much more consistent with the factory ammo.

I’ve recently started loading 9mm and have been happy that everything I’ve been putting together has been firing. I shot some groups with handloads today and compared them to some groups with factory rounds, and my hand loads seem to be less accurate. Any suggestions on where to start making...

On .45 acp what’s the best way to tell between small and large primer pockets and are they both still using large pistol primers?

Is it necessary to sort brass by headstamp even if I’m only going to load the low end recommend charge? I’ve read that case thickness can very which could cause pressure issues but figured if I’m on the low end it should be ok. Loading 9mm and .45 acp.

Thats what I’ve been loading is RMR FMJ for my 9mm. I live near where they are made so I’ll probably continue to use those since they have a great reputation and I can support local businesses

Thanks everyone for the help! One thing I’ve read about shooting plated and or lead is that load data might be different. Is this true or a non-factor with the slower speeds off.45acp?

I’m going to start loading.45 acp and was wondering if there was any advantage to loading FMJ over plated? Would be mainly for target shooting and possibly steel shooting competition in the future. Also any opinions on bullet weight selection. Thanks
