Any ejection problems with the cheap stuff?

"I find it impossible to believe that all these different models are having this issue because anyone who reads the forums knows it is only the 870 that has any issue with extractions. Please check to make sure your gun is not an 870 in disguise ." I have to admit. This one made me laugh out...

Back on the Forum after 3 1/2 years

Thanks All, Went to the local club the past two Saturdays. Shot well the first day. The second Saturday was a 3 Bird shoot. I guess I get confused easially. I also had about 10 loading jams with my semi-auto. A fellow shooter told me to clean the gun. I told him that that wasn't the...

Over and under comparison (Browning v. Ruger)

If you are only going to go for one shotgun I would recommend that you purchase a 12 gauge; rather than a 20 gauge. You can shoot a 7/8 oz. load in a 12 gauge if you want less recoil. There is no quarter given in any game that I've played for 20 gauge shooters in a (except skeet) 12 game sport.

Okay Thanks, I asked the guy again today. He said he is loading with a 36 (MEC) bushing. Without finding a published load with 33.5-33.8 gr of Blue Dot. I'm gonna load the 35-37 gr load. Thanks for the effort.

    Dad's 12 gauge

I opened this thread because of the title. Even if it weren't one of the best shotguns made, it was Dad's. Take good care of it and don't hesitate to shot it.

Help with adjusting shims on Beretta Extrema II

Assuming that you are a right handed shooter.... The DX designation is a "Cast-off" stock. If you replace the SX with a DX you may move the patter from "Cast-on" to "Cast-off" or move the pattern to the RIGHT. That being said: How you see down the barrel is what I would think effects the...

It is nice that you are concerned abut other people's needs. I wouldn't worry about it too much if the rule wasn't posted. You can correct it from this point forward.

    #7 shot?

Our club requires 7 1/2's or smaller but... I am convinced that different manufacturers produce different sizes of shot. I bought Eagle Shot and a shooting buddy of mine told me that it runs a little smaller than most others. I checked it with my calipers and sure enough it is a bit...

    Aging venison

I've usually hung the deer, skinned, for one to three days. It depends on when it is shot in the three to four day season. I have always taken it home, quartered, and put it in the refrigerator for up to a total of five days. Then butchered it, wrapped it in butcher paper and freeze it...
