    New S&W Heavy Duty

Sounds like someone needs to visit Dollar Tree and get a set of reading glasses. I’m still using a 2.0 this year… 2.5 for close in speed shooting.

Problem is, that’s still less than mrp! It’s new stock, as they sold out during COVID panic. Alliant is the one scalping us.

    New S&W Heavy Duty

It’s called a 6” vice with pads, and a 10” lead Babbitt bar! You lock the revolver in the vice and you give it a good “WHACK” on the barrel in the direction you want to move the impact point. It’s trial and error. Mostly just error! For out to 20-30 feet, combat shooting, fixed sights are OK.

    New S&W Heavy Duty

S&W did… It was called the Model 13 and 65. I carried a couple of M65’s for a dozen years. Absolutely DESPISED them. The only way they would shoot anywhere near where you aimed them was with the skinny magna grips and 158gr Lead SWC Magnum factory ammo. And then only for one cylinder worth...

    9.3x62 vs .375 h&h

Personally, I don’t find the recoil from a .375Ruger to be all that bad. I have a Ruger 77/MkII African. I did cut the stock 1-3/8” and fitted it with the Pachmayer 1” Old English Decelerator pad. It fits perfectly now and handles like a dream. I bought two boxes of factory Hornady 270’s and 200...

Actually, I’d give $170 for 4 pounds! But you have to add shipping, haz mat, and 6% sales tax! $210 delivered… I recently saw 1lbs for 69.95 ! I passed as with 10% sales tax that would have been almost $77.00lb! What is Alliant thinking? I started reloading 54yrs ago. I first used Unique...

Drop in 9mm barrel for G22 question?

Great, IF, you have a G23….!

    220 Swift Reloader Favorites?

The extruded grain powders are more erosive, and bulkier than the spherical. The increased volume at greater velocities means greater erosion. Think sandblasting the throat with every shot. And, as the barrel heats up, the effect becomes stronger.

    Cast bullet lube?

8 its obvious that you aren’t using any airsoft BB’s to generate the necessary static electricity to produce the sticking of the powder to the bullets. Kinda like trying to bake bread without yeast! Black airsoft BB’s work the best. I started out with PINK as that was all that was available...

Drop in 9mm barrel for G22 question?

AFAIK, those were the “blow them out the door” close-out prices. Got them about 3 years ago. I haven’t seen any listed since. I would have liked to have a .357Sig also…

Drop in 9mm barrel for G22 question?

I bought the Bear Creek Arsenal 9mm conversion barrel. The biggest difference in the .40 slide is the width of the top barrel lug and case head slot. Using the original extractor and .40 mags, the 9mm BCA barrel is half again more accurate than the original Glock barrel. Purchase price was...

Oh-oh….S&W 629 Deluxe Light Primer Strikes!!

Was the ammo factory loads or reloaded? I’m leaning towards high primers or hard primers.

    5.7 Time

Just this past week, PSA had the 5.7 Rock on sale for $369.00 with one mag. That includes the slotted slide cut for a RMR sight.Black finish and frame. I’ve got one in my cart, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

    M&P .38 143xxx Strange Color $699?

Pluming isn’t unusual for an older Ruger S/A. Very Uncommon for a S&W.

    Wow! A round butt Model 15 4”! I Like !

my first relatively clean P&R smith

To relieve the light hits on the CCI primers, you can take the anvil out of a spent (fired) large pistol or rifle primer and place the primer under the tip of the strain screw. This will shim it up enough to make it hit harder to pop the primer. I’ve “corrected” a number of Smiths with cut...

I tried to ignore this, but darn it, somebody had to buy it...

Nice find on an early M&P .38. Decent price too. I bet it’ll shoot too! I have two I-frame .32 Long Lady Smiths from that era. They both are nickel plated and are very rough! But, they both are great shooters, even with rough bores. I’d put my grip adapter on it and try both 158 gr Service...

Keep .280 Rem or sell for something else?

I have both the #30395 (.30-30) and #30396 (.308ME and .300Savage) versions. The blems I bought are #30396 as for the .308ME. IVE used the #xx395’s in .30-30’s, but not in the .308ME. You “MIGHT” lose a little accuracy using the xx395 seated to the cannelure as that will cause a little bit more...

Keep .280 Rem or sell for something else?

re: .280Rem brass…. It only takes a single pass of a .270 case through a .280 die and “voila”, you have a .280 case! I have 6- .30/06, two- .270’s, a 7mmMag, and a .7mm08, not to mention the other dozen smaller and larger ones! Guess which two I took to Wyoming this year? The two 7’s! Tomorrow...
