    870P question.

I can vouch that the recent P and Express aren't all that different in reliability. Both my expresses and my P needed the chamber polished or they'd all choke on cheap low "brass". That said, the finish IS better and I believe that the barrel is a heavier/thicker barred.

.223 Case (Really) Stuck in AR15

What I've had to do after tearing the case head off a case in a die... Run a tap into the case just enough for it to get a good bite on the case but not penetrate the brass. Then run a rod down from the to of the die (muzzle end in your case) and beat the snot out of it. Let me reiterate...

    Brady Campaign attacking Starbucks

Showing appreciation by organizing a Starbucks appreciation day across a bunch of pro 2nd sites would be killer. At a minimum support them with your $'s. I don't buy anything there, but will when convenient and for certain this week simply because of this episode.

    Remington 870 locked up solid

Or an SLP or an A391... I find it ironic that those too unreliable for home defense autos chew through all that sub standard ammo yet the iconic pump gun can't. Dunno, but that doesn't wash with me. The 870 should be the #2 pencil of shotguns. Also, if rather minor work can be done to...

    Remington 870 locked up solid

Personally, I would add the "sticking chamber" as a flaw. I have a Beretta A391 and a brand new SLP that both blow through the wally world crap Winchester Universal, as well as Federal low brass and Remington low brass. The Win and Fed would choke all four of my 870's including one 870p. Not...

    Pro-gun ownership but not pro-NRA?

Hardshell, you are exactly right. But that's the difference between voting against someone vs. voting for someone. In my case, I will not use the NRA to vote againt the anti's. I'm voting for who I want. Unlike out 2 party political system, we can vote with $'s to more than 1 organization...

    Pro-gun ownership but not pro-NRA?

Hardshell, sure does. You're basically saying to pick a "winner" by voting with my $. Put it in terms of campaign contributions. Who should I have sent money to if I wanted to make sure the $ went to the person who would win the election? (the winner being analogous to the organization "with...

    Pro-gun ownership but not pro-NRA?

Hardshell, then by your logic I SHOULD have voted for Obama or arguably Hillary. Again, if one is compelled to donate, there ARE alternatives.

    Pro-gun ownership but not pro-NRA?

Hardshell, just like Congress, when more people loose faith, they'll send their $ somewhere else. I just have less of a tolerance that others. No more, no less. Eventually, those $ could = influence. There's no way to know the future, but in the here and now, just like I will never vote for...

    Pro-gun ownership but not pro-NRA?

Armedbear, are you serious? You have honestly never heard of another single 2nd or rtkbo organization or are you being intentionally obtuse?

    Pro-gun ownership but not pro-NRA?

NRA... Negotiate your rights away. In good faith, I couldn't renew last year and couldn't/didn't join a particular gun club because they require membership for NRA insurance. There were alternatives, though.

Now, that's darn funny, if not a bit true.

    Israeli Military Surplus Ammo

Be careful with the Isi ammo. I believe that Nathan is correct - there is HOT smg only surplus ammo out there.

    glock extractor/ejector

Yank the buffer and see whether it still does it. I'd imagine that the buffer changes the way/magnitude/amount that the ejector contact the case to eject it.

Big Trouble... DPMS LR-308 Jammed .. Stuck .. HELP

Dude, you can still pogo it. Find something wooden with a sharp corner. Basically, you're going to run the upper along the corner until the charging handle latch contacts the wood and yanks the bolt open. Takes more coordination than the traditional pogo, but it does work. I have to use that...

    Building a AR, How Difficult?

Post in the ar15.com home town forum and find someone in the area who has the tools and has done it before. About the only real think you can irrevocably screw up us installing the bolt release pin (scratching the receiver) and the trigger guard pin. Everything else is salvageable or...

Firearms companies you can invest in.

I agree with smokey, BUT... Also consider investing things that you know about and enjoy researching or following. I have no interest in what P&G sells, and therefore I have no idea how they're doing or will do in the future. The real trick is to invest in what you like or are interested in...
