    642 Club Part Three

Just wanted to wish the club a Happy 9th Birthday! The 642 in a Mika round-cut is still the best configuration for me.

    642 Club Part Three

Merry CHRISTmas! My last post was too long ago, but I wanted to wish everyone here at the 642 Club a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous, Happy New Year. I continue to carry my 642 in a Mika Round cut. The durability/quality of Robert Mika's work is unparalleled. This configuration is...

How are you carrying your J-Frame?

Since Jan. 17, 2006, I have carried my 642 in a Robert Mika round cut pocket holster. One of the best decisions/purchases I've ever made. If you buy a Mika holster, you will not be disappointed.

    642 Club Part Three

rdrancher: Great pic! A man -- his tractor -- and his 642. (Nice grips and I believe that is a Mika pocket holster.)

    642 Club Part Three

Happy 8th! Greetings to all 642 Heads! It is strange how time gets away from you. It doesn't seem possible that I joined THR over 10 years ago, and that The Club is 8 years old as of yesterday. I'm so glad this thread lives, because for me, THR equals The 642 Club. I didn't realize my...

Why Shouldn't a Revolver Cylinder Be "Flicked" Closed?

Revolvers are elegant and dignified (and effective!). They deserve respect.

    642 Club Part Three

I have been very remiss to be so long in posting. I see some familiar and unfamiliar names, but it is good to see that The Club is doing well. Life is full and busy, and I don't get to the range near enough. Regardless, I must make more effort to visit here more frequently--it still feels...

I love revolvers and I'm young

    I'm 51 years young and definitely prefer revolvers--particulary the S&W 642.

True words. One of the best purchases I ever made.

    What is the best revolver?

I'm very partial to my S&W 642 snubbie. I also like my Rossi 3" .357. Due to the elegance of a revolver, there are so many "best" choices.

    642 Club Part Three

I realize I'm late with this reply, but I have had no problems like you've described. It's a good question and something to keep it mind as humidity is almost always with us down here.

    642 Club Part Three

I switched to the Bantam grips. The difference between the two is probably minimal, but the Bantam's are a better fit for my hand and they just feel better to me. Of course, the recoil is still very stout, but that's just a staple of the 642 world. Concerning 150 rounds on your first...

    642 Club Part Three

I lurk frequently and more so lately. It is so good to see the club thriving (a testament to the best snubbie). Heart-felt welcome to all the new 642-heads and a special thanks to DAdams & Nem for overseeing things. I continue to carry my 642 in my Mika round-cut (an unbeatable...

One defective .357 Magnum Round: Opinions Please

Thanks for the replies. What exactly does WD40 or oil do to a primer?

One defective .357 Magnum Round: Opinions Please

Important Note: The business involved here will remain nameless as I have purchased thousands of rounds of from them with no problems. I consider them to be a very competent ammo provider and will purchase from them again without hesitation. This one cartridge obviously slipped through their...
