    Double Action, 22lr Six Shooters

Not sure if been mentioned, but may want to check out High Standard, their Sentinel lineup from the 60s are usually sub-$400 in the used market. They had aluminum frames, steel barrel/cylinder, typically fixed sights. Also came in 2-6in barrel offerings. I think they were a budget gun back in...

    Pawnshop Colt 1908 hammerless automatic

I don't know if its been said yet, but those look to be real mother of pearl, and appear aged, meaning 'could' be worth a significant chunk of change. May want to contact member 'dfarriswheel' on here. He's also a member of the Colt forums and has a pretty extensive knowledge of Colt products

    H&R Pioneer 750 (22cal)

well as noted earlier, the bolt was purchased separately and from a different 750 rifle. So who knows how it got like that. I'm not taking any chances with a repair job right now, I'll just replace with with new parts and call it a day. Should be here this weekend.

    H&R Pioneer 750 (22cal)

So using my new found super powers (eyesight) I just observed the likely cause of light strikes, dam firing pin is bent. Visually something didn't look right so I put it against a straight edge. Ever so slightly you can see light underneath the front & rear suggesting its bowed towards the center.

    H&R Pioneer 750 (22cal)

Ahhhh-Ha! I was looking directly at the specific rifle: https://www.gunpartscorp.com/category/rifles-hr/750 but not by part type. Awesome find LoonWulf, thank you. So that pin is a match for mine, but measures 3 9/32 (3.28125). The pin in my rifle measures at (3.267), maybe just knurled down...

    H&R Pioneer 750 (22cal)

well that was my thoughts exactly, I did give it a thorough cleaning and same issues. It really seems to light off CCI or Winchester bulk just fine. But Remington, like the golden bullets is where it has light strikes. But, same ammo works just fine in other single shots I have. I might just...

    H&R Pioneer 750 (22cal)

Looking for some background info on a H&R Pioneer 750 bolt action 22. Several years ago I bought this rifle for $60 minus a bolt. At the time, spare parts like a bolt were scarce. Eventually I came across a complete bolt on GB listed for the same model, and equal to what I paid for the file...

Price for a Taurus millennium 40

I paid $320 for a PT-145 Mil Pro some years back. When I called Taurus to get a dob...... I was a little suprised to hear my gun was identified in a series of pistols part of a class action lawsuit. Apparently someone dropped their Taurus and it went of. Don't recall if death or just injury...

Taurus Class Action Lawsuit Settlement Finalized

Wish in one hand......#@&$ in another.....lol Yeah, I get that, now! But I frankly didn't get that luxury when I bought it. Not everyone knows the company legal woes before buying one of their used products. Ever buy a used 'pre car fax' car and get suprised there's a recall? I bought my PT 145...

Taurus Class Action Lawsuit Settlement Finalized

I bought a used PT-145 Gen3 couple months ago. I was pissed after I read the lawsuit. But wasn't aware at the time of purchase so that's on me. After I read the lawsuit a few times, it sounds like there are a couple issues being addressed This lawsuit is about alleged safety defects in the...

.410 cut shells out of a 45 Colt

Lol yes he did. Again, aside from the practical reasons, was more of a "could I do it" question. Sportsman guide has Fiocchi 250gr cowboy loads for under $28 per 50. Before shipping of course. So I'll likely just order some from there. But was just exploring other options is all

Was just more of a curiosity question with no practical purpose.

.410 cut shells out of a 45 Colt

Recently picked up a Pietta 1873 in 45 Colt. Been learning about this round, and was wondering if anyone has tried .410 shells, cut to the same length as a 45 Colt? Either with shot buck, or slugs? What would be the safety concerns of attempting this? Am I mistaken the .410 is a little lower psi...

Modern loads in older 12ga SxS

Looking at buying a Enders Secret Service 12ga for $100. From basic searching I've found it was made under contract for Crescent Arms. While I understand these aren't the highest quality shotguns, I have heard these were rated fairly decent for the period. My question to everyone is, does...

tell me about the Taurus 44 mag snub...

Lol why yes I have. After punishing myself shooting full house loads, I've resorted to loading my own. I currently load Hornady, Speer, and Noble 240gr with Alliant 2400. Been experimenting with 16-19gr. I've come to like 18gr loads the most. It's still a stout round, but not over kill. I...

tell me about the Taurus 44 mag snub...

I picked up one a few months ago used at a lgs. It's my daily carry. I've had a lot of Taurus revolvers, and a few Rossi's. I gotta say, other than "ouch", this is a bargain for conceal carry. Maybe I got a exception, but mine is accurate out to 30ft, which is all I've shot so far. And the...

Ruger Security Six - Re-barrel with Colt Python or King Cobra Barrel (Questions)

Yeah just so everyone understands my intentions. I'm not specifically selling a KC to do this project. Trust me, I dam near passed out thinking about it over & over if I want to keep it or sell it. I ended up trading away my S&W 1911 for the KC. Originally I wanted a 6in KC. Not many offers...

Ruger Security Six - Re-barrel with Colt Python or King Cobra Barrel (Questions)

well my franken-cougar is about to start. I'm selling a King Cobra basically to fund this, plus buy a few other toys. As soon as that sells I'm going to take to my gunsmith. It will be a 8" barrel with a target front sight "no orange". I traded my stainless security six for a blued one...
