I want to know what the bigger cop was trying to break the window with?
He must have hit the window twenty times or more. A 3D cell maglite would certainly take out a window easy enough. Maybe he was using a $180 tactical flashlight that will blind you but do little else.
My 8 yr. old cell phone is dying (battery). Thinking of replacing the entire phone since batterys are so expensive. Looked up cell phones and I am overwhelmed with the choices in phones and plans.
What I need is:
Durable phone, no flip phones.
Something that can store 250 names numbers.
No...
Very interesting question. I am no expert but I would venture to guess that the revolver is louder because of the cylinder / barell gap. I know when I go to the range I can tell even before entering the room if someone is shooting a 357 magnum revolver. It is a very loud and distinct report.
I've taken two Bucks with my GP100 4" using Corbon 158gn lead. Both shots were 70 yards or less. Both shots were taken SA. They fell like they were hit with a 300 WinMag.
How about a 9mm, six shot revolver with a 4 inch barell that accepts moon clips on a K frame size. This would be great for IDPA. Oh yea, make it with a smooth trigger and in black.
Unintended consequenses! Bill Klinton's 1994 neutering of semi auto magazine capacities has made the relvolver that much more attractive. Although I've always loved the revolver for its simplicity and style.
I have a CZ75BD with 32,000 rounds through it. The only weak spot is the howoll roll pin the retains the firing pin. This pin broke at about 11,000 rounds. CZ Mike Eagleshield sent a new one at no cost. They should us a solid roll pin like SIG uses. Other than that it is a great pistol. Smooth...
I have one SIG a 229 in 9mm and it is a great gun. Frankly SIG has priced themselves out of my league. I'd rather spend the $ on shooting the guns I already have.
I've taken two Bucks with my GP100 4" using Corbon 158gn lead. Both shots were 70 yards or less. Both shots were taken SA. They fell like they were hit with a 300 WinMag. I guess hunting accuaracy is different than precision shooting. If hunting accuaracy is good enough to put meat on the table...
I will stray from the issue. I saw Mystic River and it is excelllent. I disagree with Mr. Penn and Mr. Sarandon on nearly all of their political views. As long as they are acting I have no problems with them. Excellent movie and an excellent book.
Recently the number pop ups has been increasing. I even get pop ups about products to eliminate pop ups. I am certain that many pop up prevention products are like cures for baldness - BOGUS. Anybody out there have a good recomendation to get rid of these anoying things?
Thanks in advance.
I saw a female LEO at our local indoor range injury her self with the staple gun while trying to mount a paper target. Only a small percentage of LEOs are competent with handguns. Most shoot very little.
Gumshoe,
Your position would imply that the Constitution/Bill of Rights is an living document. It is not. If you want to change the Constitution/Bill of Rights then there are legal methods to do so. It is not an easy process to change the Constitution/Bill of rights, and this is a good thing...
In 1999 I went 6,000 rounds without cleaning my Glock 17. I detailed this experimet on Glocktalk.com. I used all kinds of ammo, even the nasty dirty Wolf. This was not my carry gun, it was only used at the range and at IDPA. I had no problems. I wish I had my digital camera at the time. Yes...
I am not comfortable with a carry gun that isn't reliable. That said I am less than confident about all the small sized >3.5 barell 1911s. This is a result of seeing and hearing of frequent ftf, stove pipes on these little guns. Aside form the reliability problem the issue of controlability is...
I have tried to like the SIG Pro line. Friend has a 2009 and I have shot it a lot. It is a DUD. Blocky, trigger not as smoth as SIG Classic. Rented the 2340 twice. Same - DUD. The back straps never seem secure. I love my 220 and my 228 but the SIG Pros are DUDS!
Yes, my original intent was companies that are really good at what they do (Beretta 92/96) then go off and produce something goofy that is just out of their area of expertise.
Lets not limit it to firearms.
