Glock 19 with red dot sight questions

Gunny2, you say you shoot infrequently. Shooting with a red dot takes some practice. It takes some muscle memory. If you raise the gun up and you are not pointing the gun properly at the target the dot will not be visible on the optic lens. Seeing the dot shows you where the round will hit. This...

Glock 19 with red dot sight questions

Slide mounted red dots get banged around from cycling slide. Get a red dot with a decent warranty. I have a few Vortex Venoms that had issues over time and they were replaced free quickly.

Mount a Red Dot sight on a S&W model 39

I'm not sure about what mount to use but I have a comment on the crimson trace red dot . I have a model 1500 and it is a pretty low end red dot. The 1550 model looks to be similar. Indoors the1500 isn't bad, outdoors is another story. The dot isn't the brightest in full sun and depending where...

    Double stack 45 2011

I was wondering too about a 9mm having trouble knocking plates off a texas sstar. My range has a couple of stars and a double star and we shoot matches with them. I shoot them with 115gr 9mm ammo all the time. I think large poppers are worse for knocking them down with lighter loads.

What causes failure to go into battery in 1911s?

What kind of ammo are you using? Are they reloads? If they are that could be part of problem since all three guns are having issues.

    CZ75 mods advise

I put a CZ Custom hammer in a 75 SA. I had to fit the sear so the safety would work . I had to take the gun apart multiple times until it was fitted right. I have also used a CGW adjustable sear. Those are easy. You adjust the allen screw with some locktite on it and your done.

Springfield Armory 1911 - Mainspring housing replacement questions

Klonimus mainspring housing and well are drop in. I have one installed on my 9mm Kimber. The lighter mainspring hasn't been a problem with light strikes. If you are going to buy one wait on buying more parts and spring until you try it.

Canik Owners , TP9SF vs TP9DA ? Pros and Cons

I have both the tp9sf and the da. Both are range guns and not home defense. For strictly range shooting I would choose the tp9sf. It has only one trigger pull to deal with unlike the da. I have also upgraded the tp9sf with a Freedomsmith trigger which makes the trigger pull outstanding. Both are...

Is the Seecamp a good pistol for $350?

I had a seecamp 32. I didn't love it. I wasn't very accurate shooting without sights. It was very reliable but it threw the brass every direction. I reload and I was always losing brass. Here's the bullets I used...

    Canik Rival Steel Frame

All steel hammer fired Beretta 92 cost a lot more than $900. The steel performance 92x I think is running around $1400 to $1500. Regular Beretta 92 guns are aluminum framed.

Decisions, Decisions - Keltec P17 or Sig P322

I have the keltec. Got it when it first came out. It is very reliable and easy to shoot. I've been tempted to shoot a steel challenge match with it just for the heck of it. I paid $170 new when I got mine. I think msr now is $199 which is still a great deal.
